A book has never impacted me as much as this one. I've set out to read more books with characters dealing with a mental illness and this book was recommended to me. I have in the past year been realizing my symptoms of OCD and after reading Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, I wanted more characters written with it. Basically, this book tore me apart. I have never felt more like a book was written of my thoughts. I sobbed through so much of this because it felt so good to know I wasn't alone. That is one reason why books pertaining to mental illness are so important. I also liked that in the end, she was one medicine, but it didn't portray it as a fix all. Norah still had compulsions. I recently started medicine and it just meant so much to me to see that also in this book. I will never get over this book.

I really enjoyed this book :) I liked that it dived into mental health and agoraphobia. I personally really enjoy books about mental health because we don't really know alot about and reading about it just intrigues me. This book is so beautifully written I loved the main character and I felt like I really connected with her. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else :)

I really liked this book. I think most importantly it highlights the fact that mental illness is as real as physical illness and that a person cannot make the choice to just get over it.

DNF at 50% ~ Nothing happened?!

Idk but weird half naked boys make me wanna slap them. Sorry.

Maybe one day I give this book a full chance. Won't rate it coz I don't judge a book without finishing it, unless it's toi terrible. So... Finger crossed. Maybe one day I pick it up again...

3.5 stars. Definitely some triggering points here for self harm that I probably should have looked into more before reading.

TW Panic Attacks, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Agoraphobia,
I can't comment on the accuracy of the use of agoraphobia. However, as someone who deals with Anxiety and Depression, I thought that the representation was done well and proved to be accurate. This book offers an insight into the mind of someone who deals with mental health issues. I loved Norah's relationship with her Mother and Therapist. They were both extremely supportive and were willing to give Norah space if she needed it. I wasn't a fan of how the love interest was introduced, but I quickly grew to like the budding romance. You can see both characters grow during the relationship. Their fight seemed completely realistic as people can often get carried away with their imagination without thinking of the real world implications and this book deals with that in such a good way. Also, the plot twist at the end completely caught me off guard. I had forgotten that it was even a thing. I felt so tense reading that scene. The ending gave a sense of hope to the reader that I really enjoyed, with the last scene being really powerful.

Overall, I found this book to be extremely immersive with characters that I fell in love with. This book meant a lot to me and I would definitely recommend it.
