Man I'm so mad I finished this one. It was so predictable, there wasn't enough build up for the relationship for me to believe there was any love there, and I just thought this whole this was ridiculous. This one was just a little too far fetched for me to enjoy.

This started strong but then went downhill. I was thinking of giving it 3 stars until that last 10% where everything became too cliche and to be honest, stupid.

I get that you can't make "reincarnation" not a cliche but we didn't even have a heartfelt reunion scene and what is the point of a second chance romance if we don't have a reunion scene?

Soo good

What a beautiful story. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend.

Most of this will contain spoilers as my main issues with this book were with the last quarter of the book.

I enjoyed it to a certain point then I feel it took a turn into fantasy and away from reality

I'd rather the simil rities between Cass and Theo have been explained by perhaps Cass having met Theo and spoke about / seen a picture of Megan and the plans for the b&b and these memories become confused with Theo's own after his accident. But in the end I just felt Megan didn't know Theo at all and only saw/loved the parts that were Cass. I'm really not a fan of the reincarnation plot and was disappointed having been excited that it would lead up to a more satisfying conclusion.

Didn't enjoy the quote about atheists not being trust worthy, and Suzannes character was a very one dimensional

Right near the end Theo's ex becomes pregnant by Craig which seemed completely unnecessary and just gave her story a really sad end when she was obviously still besotted with Theo.

Megan becoming pregnant also unexplained so I must assume this is also down to a  religious miracle 🙄

Disappointed but rating a 3 as I did enjoy part of the journey.

I’m really not sure about my feelings on this one. I’m glad I read it, but I’m not sure if I liked it.

Absolutely incredible

I’m a fan of anything J. T. Geissinger writes but this book is my new favorite. Such a beautiful story. You do not want to miss this book!

Went into this book thinking this was a romance book - which in some ways, it is. However to me, it was more of a thriller and the overall idea of how the author wrote about reincarnation in Theo’s story was just very disturbing.. It felt very invasive and creepy that Cass reincarnated into Theo, making me feel scared/sad for Theo for being trapped with Cass’s thoughts. It was scary to see Megan spiral too, and I don’t feel like Megan truly likes Theo for who he is, and only likes him because he reminds her of Cass. There was no character development because there was no evidence of Megan moving on from Cass’s death, nor is Theo’s recovery from his/Cass’s invasive thoughts explained. Is Theo just Theo in the end or does he still have a part of Cass in him? Is Megan truly in love with Theo or is she in love with Theo’s version of Cass? This book was overall just weird but there were so many plot twists that it made me keep reading until the the end. It started out promising but I felt very disturbed and uncomfortable by this book in the end. The book gave “Get Out” vibes except it’s not clear if Theo makes it out of the sunken place and Theo was wronged in so many ways IMO. Justice for Theo. Like wtf. The more I’m processing this book, the more angry I get for Theo to be honest.

I was gonna write this long review ranting about my feelings but I’ll just leave this here instead …

Spoiler ahead:

Poor Theo got the short end of the stick. He’s a man with new memories, new tastes, new fears, and artistic talents from a woman’s dead husband. We’ll never know if Megan could even fall in love with him as a person if he didn’t have that going for him. He only loves her because he dreamt of her when they’re actually another persons memories. Oh well… at least it had a HEA.

This is one of those books I have to write the review before I know what I'm going to rate it. I'm stuck between three or four stars. I don't believe in half of a star because there obviously isn't a rating for that. One of the things I really love about J. T. Geissinger is her characters always come to life. They're not just living on a page or your kindle. They become apart of your life and when you've finished a book, you miss them. I'll say I enjoyed these characters, maybe not as much as her others, but I did enjoy them. I also enjoyed majority of the storyline. BUT it just felt like it was missing something, and I can't figure out what. There was a teeny twist, but I saw that from a mile away. Another thing I do like about this author, based on the past books I've read, is she leaves us with a decent closure. Not that that I don't mind that wandering mind to do what it wants as well. I always feel the need to rush through her books because of her writing, and I love that. If I'm in a rut, I can usually count on her to get me out of it. I think because of the lack, or more so the missing of whatever it has to be a three star for me.
