This is probably the best chick-lit I read this year. It’s the first book of the American Royals. It was an alternate “royal” world of the US if they had monarchies. There are several plots and love stories within the book that are - basically - all doomed. Can’t wait for the succeeding books.
Good! However I want them to get their happy ending :( every time it is going good some conflict happens. Also I hate Daphne with a PASSION.

I thought I’d like this book, but given America’s history and everything i couldn’t bring myself to properly enjoy the book. The characters fell flat, I wasn’t that into the writing style either or the plot of the book. I would’ve preferred a made up country tbh.
3/5 Ik had dit boek echt graag leuker willen vinden, maar ik kwam er slecht in. Zo erg, dat ik een leesdip kreeg. Het las lekker weg en de rode draad vond ik boeiend, alleen had ik moeite met het oppakken. Een aantal verhaallijnen vond ik stom of zwaar, had met relaxtere vibe verwacht en gewild.
