awful. everything was awful.
4.5 rounded up to 5 —
I’d for sure watch the indie movie adaptation for this book if there ever was one. It did read like a fan fiction, but it was fun to read about two people so helplessly in love. Fun fact I also read this entire book with my boyfriend over the course of a week long trip (him reading over my shoulder and eventually getting so hooked he just read along with me). The Third Movement was SO juicy it was crazy. I think Matt is defined by his pride and Grace is defined by her humility. And I really wish we knew more about what happened in the fifteen years that passed. I don’t find it convincing that Matt and Elizabeth had a marriage that presumably lasted a decade??? When it’s obvious he never got over Grace. Fifteen years is such a long time and I think the Third Movement really proves that. I love Ash I think she’s fantastic. And for the most part I enjoyed the ending.

I can’t honestly say anything bad about this book. You got to see the Matt and Grace mature and learn from their mistakes. You get to see the relationship grow and evolve over the course of the book. The book shows you what happened 15 years ago, what started the relationship between the two, why they fell off, you get the truth, and how it affected both Matt and Grace from their perspectives. But you also get to see the “present” and where they both ended up and how much their lives had changed since their time together, with an unforgettable turn of events, in my opinion. Although this book is fiction, it felt like something that could honestly happen in the real world, and maybe that’s why I fell so in love with this book from the start.
I only give books 5 stars to books that I would read 100 times or more. Books that gripped me from the beginning and made it impossible to put down, this is one of those books.

Loved this book! Love, lost love, and found love with a twist. I she'd happy & sad tears. This was a book tells the tale of true love of two souls who are sincere and perfect for each other.
This was the most realistic book I’ve ever read. It was soo beautiful, yet so heartbreaking. Beautiful story and i just have no bad things to say about this. Kinda reminded me of “A love letter to whiskey” even though it has no similarities. 5⭐️ without question, had everything it needed

It was so, so slow to start. I actually skipped closer to the end because I couldn’t take it. I didn’t really need any of the middle in order to understand or appreciate the ending.
i would’ve liked this book a whole lot more if matt wasn’t so annoying. the idea of the book is really interesting and i liked the creativity in the plot as a whole but like COME ONNN matt just kinda ruins it. matt is the kinda book guy that on paper i would love but he just made me progressively more mad. on top of that one of the main things that attracts him to her at the start was that she was childlike and a virgin and wore flower print underwear. kinda creepy and i expected more from a female author!
i did like the read but it was pretty average as far as romance novels. it was cheesy but wasn’t toooo cheesy like some books tend to be. overall it was an entertaining and fast read but it’s just a tad annoying on matt’s part if you ask me. can’t really elaborate without spoilers.
