I really enjoyed this and read it in one sitting. I was up until 3am to finish it! I have to say Skeeter is my favourite ❤️ ❤️ I'm still not sure about the rest of the guys yet, I don't think she made them grovel enough and forgave them to easily. I'm hoping we get to see some POV's from the guys in the next book. This book is action packed and definitely isn't boring!

I don't mind some violence but this was over the top. Relationship dynamics were shallow and under developed . I was fine with the girl being tough but she wasn't very likeable.

Started this book thinking it was going to be another RH with a seemingly tough female who is well.....really weak. But wow. She didn't let anything destroy her. I wanted a little bit more of a connection with the guys, there was so much happening that she didn't seem to connect with anyone.... with that said. I'm glad there are more books so there might be more development with the characters before more is thrown in.
I love the potential with this book. Getting into the second now.

holy crappp, this book was insane. legit the most fast paced plot twisty book i’ve ever read. will for sure be plowing right along. plot twists almost never got me and the main 2 DEFINITELY shook me a bit. i also have many problems with things throughout the book but it was so entertaining that it didn’t matter as much? but also this is just like trauma porn, literally thing after thing with no down time. and it not light stuff either so take care of your brain
I am obsessed! I had to wait to write this review because I couldn’t stop before I went onto the next! This was my first book of RE Bond’s and it won’t be my last!! This book is dark and emotional, and keeps you coming back for more. I’m here for characters with trauma and Rory Donovan has a lot of it. I felt pure rage when the truth came out about the guys’ plan. Rory was destroyed and went a little overboard after, but part of me also understood. She’s strong and stubborn and I love her!
When she said "I'm not like other girls" I literally stopped reading 💀

Pretty Lies was an amazing story, with great characters, sassy comebacks, and plenty of steam. Rory is such a great character, I love her snarky, take no prisoners attitude, and how she just comes back swinging.
It definitely deals with some pretty awful pasts, but the fact that it makes the characters work as a group was great. I loved the few glimpses into the other POVs!
Can’t wait to start Book 2!

Utterly obsessed!
From the moment I read the first chapter, I knew I was losing my night to this book. The next 4 hrs flew past me, and i have 0 regrets in binging this masterpiece!
These guys are horrible, almost irredeemable. Emphasis on almost. RE Bond creates an intense story between Rory and her guys where I experienced one roller coaster of a wild ride. I almost didn't want to forgive these guys for what they put me through, but now I can't possibly let them go. It's easy to see how Rory could let these guys in when she has, and trusts, no one.
Rory is a top heroine for me. She has so much strength and resilience, but she breaks just as strongly. She's a victim in every sense of the word, and so many times during the book my heart just broke for her. That pain I felt also had me looking forward to her journey, and wanting to see where she ends up. I need this heroine to rule the world!
I'm utterly absorbed in the Watch Me Burn world, and can't wait to fall into the next book.

Oh this series. I want to love you more. The main character drives me FLIPPING crazy. I get wanting to rebel, and be independent and not be told what to do by any man... but she takes it to a whole other extreme. I love the male characters in these books though I feel attached to all of them. I also had a problem with constantly comparing to the Madison Kate series by Tate James that I read to weeks ago. Which maybe why I am having a hard time with it. I read book 1 and 2 back to back and I don't know that I care enough to finish the series. The writing is great, and I will absolutely read more by this author, I just can't connect with the female lead.. she drives my crazy and I find my self internally yelling at her to just shut up and do what she is told for once.
