I did really enjoy reading this and found it genuinely creepy but I also felt like the dual perspectives became confusing/alienating because Louie’s consisted of days and days and Noemi’s was just the one night. There were a ton of characters and so some of them felt a little thin and hard to keep track of. I also don’t think I understand how the present storyline relates to the past one. And Noemi as a character really annoyed me lol. Like so immature what do you mean you are a 40 year old woman (maybe that was on purpose tho)

I simply could not get past the cadence of the male narrator, and would zone out because of it, not actually absorbing the story at all. Might pick back up later and read it (not listen) but right now it is not the move.

At first, you’re reading this book and you’re thinking “oh this is just a book about natives and how they live on the reservation” …. But then it turns into “oh my God, what did I just read?!?!”
The plot twist at the end of this book are amazing and I highly recommend reading if you want a good thriller with a good twist.

It's slow. For a thriller, I kept setting the book down and walking away, but I found myself thinking about the characters. I did get confused as the plot jumps back and forth in time every chapter with no warning. I had to constantly remind myself which character was the focal point so that was a bit jarring.
