This author is an auto buy for me. I have devoured everything she has written and the stories keep getting better. I could not put this book down, and needed to know what happened next.
Wow! it's been a long time since a book has kept me up at night because I couldn't put it down...but this one did. Brynnlee and Deacon...so perfect together. I absolutely loved this book!
Brynlee and Deacon spent many summers together in Block Island but grew apart and went their separate ways because of their age difference; in the present, the two run into each other back on the island, and Brynlee’s crush is still present. They are going to be in the same town, and their relationship quickly develops (so much so that Brynlee feels no anxiety proposing that the two get married for help with his daughter). However, Brynlee is bringing her own secret into their marriage, and it could affect her future. Her family has also been worried about this, and it has caused a strain between them when they are usually so strong. I really liked Brynlee’s secret thoughts that popped up every so often.
This book was so good! I could not put it down. Brynlee is a magnetic character and you can’t help but love her! Deacon captivates you from the start and then he goes on to be large and in charge and a hot single dad. You quickly fall in love with Brynnlee and Deacon and their story.

Did I read this book in 1 day…YES! Deacon and Brynlee are the spicy romantic connection everyone should have!! Brynlee crushed on Deacon growing up and they bump into one another a few years later. Their passion and draw towards one another is off the charts. Deacon has a daughter and I love how he puts her first above all. Plus, he has a great co-parenting relationship so this made this book EVEN BETTER!
I loved reading their story because Brylee deserves a HEA! II laughed at Brynlee’s sass to her mom…it is SO Scarlett in kid form. Reading this series from start to finish has been a great way to really know these characters and Bella makes you feel like you are apart of the family. Each of her books I become more and more invested! I know if I start one of her books I need to have NO plans that day!! They are hard to put down once you start reading.
