Finally! It took quite a while for me to finish this book. I'm giving this book four stars just because even though it has a great story, I find some parts boring but other than that, The Iron Knight is definitely a good read and I am totally recommending it to those who love adventure and fantasy. :)
adventurous dark emotional reflective medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

A perfect way to end a series! This installment was only about Ash which is great and sad at the same time. Being in his head was a little irritating at times when he was jumping back and forth between thoughts and doubts. HIs journey was interesting and exciting. Puck of course was the best factor in my opinion. Puck!

I have been reading the series from the Iron King and I am soooo happy to get a different POV than Meghan Chase (AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN). It's not that I didn't like her (she definitely wasn't my favorite character in the series though!) but that her inner monologues were always the same, woe is me, my life is so complicated, I don't want to be queen. (so flipping what?)

Then we get a breath of fresh air in Winter and Summer's Passage Novella that desperately left you wanting more. And then Julie hits us with a totally Ash POV with Puck being more than just a hanger on of Meghan but an actually character who has a deep and strong connection with Ash before.

I loved the interaction with him and my favorite characters the Wolf, Grimmalkin, Puck and even a surprise character :)

More books from different perspectives please !!

3.5

This was the very best book in the series. I'm glad to have lived in the world that Julie Kagawa created for a little while and I'd be happy to go back for a visit again.

'Team Ash, this one is for you.'
And what a treat it was!
Best one out of all 4.

I think the series should have ended with the previous book, The Iron Queen, as that was a fantastic book. This one - not so much.
Despite this, I did enjoy the story, but something just wasn't right for me in their journey to the end of the world. The trials that Ash has to go through are great, but I have so many questions prior to reading....

Nonetheless, it's a fine ending to an okay series. I'll probably be rereading it in a couple of years as I did really like the world building :). And the third book.

Beautiful ending! Such a great way to end the series! I love these characters, I am so sad yet so happy for these characters. I'm ready to let them go. I feel like I got to witness all of these characters grow and develop, I got to see them get their happy endings. I enjoyed the focus on Ash in this series, until now we only saw Ash from Meghan's POV, I loved hearing his thoughts, I loved seeing his love for Meghan and everything he was willing to do for her.

I actually love it. I was relieved that there was minimal feature of Meghan in it...strangely since she is the other main character.
