AMAZING!!! There are seriously no words for how awesome and crazy good The Iron Knight was. The action never seemed to stop and I nearly cried a few times. Ash's journey to earn a soul pulled roughly on my own; Julie Kagawa is a genius. Getting to know Ash, the real Ash, is something you don't want to miss.
To be honest, I missed Megan. I loved hearing it all from Ash’s point of view, and since Megan was in no way involved with Ash searching for his soul I understand that it would be pointless and boring to have it from her perspective. My only complaint is that, despite the fact that the girl seems to think she knows everything about the boy she’s in love with, there are still some mysteries about him. With Ash, it was now all laid out there for us to gawk over. Don’t get me wrong, his insights were long-awaited, but I missed Megan’s voice.
Puck was hilarious as usual, but there was a visible darkness to him in this one that we hadn’t really seen much of before. He had to try too hard to lighten the mood sometimes, and Ash knew just what to say to get him to go all broody. I also liked seeing him with the blast from both their pasts, and I think if it had ended differently, she and Puck could have been happy together. Grimalkin was as mysterious and annoying as always. He was the only character that didn’t change, but I loved the Big Bad Wolf twist. Grimalkin needed someone to fight and bond with.
The journey through the Nevernever was rich with lore and the descriptions were so vivid. Another reason I love Kagawa’s writing. There were some parts at the Training Grounds where I thought could have used more description, but otherwise the ending was perfect. Often in the final book, authors seem to rush it and you end up unsatisfied. Readers want to be eased out of a great series, and though I could have used more of the ending for my own selfish desires, it was a wonderful ending. It was the one I expected, but it did not disappoint. So much heartache made The Iron Knight a must-read.
I was sad that this was the final book in the series. But all good things come to an end eventually. I can’t wait to see what Julie Kagawa pumps out next.

Finally, something more original not entirely riding on cliches. I really enjoyed this book and Ash's struggles to navigate the darker sections of Nevernever and what he's willing to do for love.
I felt like Julie Kagawa really grew with her writing by the end. It was raw with a sense of mortality.
The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)
4 STARS
brief introduction:
Ashallayn’darkmyr Tallyn, son of Mab and former prince of the Unseelie Court, and former knight of Meghan Chase decided that he can no longer live without his Iron queen who he will love and protect at all costs, but the problem is he connot survive in the Iron Realm, but he is determined to be by her side and be the knight she needs, therefore he embarked in a dangerous journey where he has to comfort som part of his demons and past...
but can he really finish his quest and return to his Queen? or will he surrender to his past doubts?
My opinion:
I truly loved this book, it had a perfect ending couldn't ask for more,
And note this please I know some of you who have read this book thinks that Ash is an unloyal and selfish bastard, but what you fail to understand is that he is not your typical boy next door nor the famous quarterback in your highschoolNo People, He is Ash former winter prince (a.k.a Ice-boy as Puck would name him ;I love that crazy Faery to by the way )a powerful winter fey who was raised to hate, hurt, kill, and disgrace everyone who stood in his path (scary i know ) or in the face of his former queen the Ice-bitch.Sp yeah visiting his mind was a thrilling adventure, it introduced us his real personality his fears, doubts ,He wasn't perfect and I disagree with some of his thought he sometimes was frustrating and stubborn as hell; and sometimes quite the opposite
but overall this serie is a MUST READ go pick it up if you haven't already i assure you, you will not be disappointed
and do ot forget Grimalkin he is still his typical self, intelligent, mysterious and always pope from nowhere, he might be next to you right now shaking his had at you for reading this long review and not jumping straight to that book. and well he is a cat after all!

This was a whole book from Ash's point of view. Ash's point of view! List of lifelong dreams, you're now half as long. Julie Kagawa was going to to leave it as a trilogy, but her editor convinced her to write The Iron Knight. This person is nothing short of a genius as, I don't know if I mentioned it, but it's a whole fricking book fro Ash's point of view!!!!
Also, if you usually skip over the Q&As at the end of books, you might want to rethink that with this book, there are surprise guest appearances !

This is killing me! In a good way.
If you don't know, Julie Kagawa is one of my favourite authors. I love her writing, characters, SIDE characters, world building, storyline. The only thing I'm not in love with is her romances. Don't get me wrong, I really like them! But romance is not her strong side.
I always liked Ash since he first appeared in the first book. But I was so frustrated because he just wouldn't TALK. I wanted to know what he thought, how he felt towards Meghan and I'm so happy to say that The Iron Knight met all of my expectations. Even my stupid "what ifs" were answered in this book AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ MORE JULIE KAGAWA BOOKS. She just outdones her every story. Her characters are so unique and always so different from each other. I don't know how she does it. Seriously how does she do it?!?!
I was heartbroken, teary-eyed, hopeful and SO HAPPY throughout this book. You have to read this series if you haven't already.
The Ash-Ari-Meghan love triangle was so heart wrenching. I wanted to scream at Ash but I also understood what he was going through and I'm so happy how it all turned out!!! Well, not so happy what happened to Ari but she is at peace right?? ...Right?
After reading that horrible chapter about Ash's future, I found myself not wanting Ash to be human. IT WAS SO SAD. But of course he wouldn't be ALL HUMAN. I don't know how I got tricked into thinking he would be all human.
One of my favourite scenes would be when Puck talked to the giant in The Forgotten's villiage. It was HILAROUS and PUCK, PLEASE CALL ME.
The appearance of The Big Bad Wolf was unexpected BUT AWESOME. Like I said, Julie Kagawa's characters are so amazing!
And lastly, DID YOU SEE HOW ASH LOOKED AT THOSE GUNS!?!?! Well not see oh you know what I mean!
ASH WITH A GUN. COME ON. I WANT TO SEE THAT. I never thought that he would use a gun but he definitely will!
I want to read "The Call of Forgotten" so bad.

I LOVED Puck. He is such an amazing character and... If you are still available Puck, give me a call. The Ash-Ari-Meghan love triangle was so heart wrenching. Favorite thing of all the books: Ash and Puck's relationship! And I wish we had more moments of these two together. I freaking loved all the moments we had in these books when these boys were working together, and sacrificing for each other, when they shared their tears and losses. And the best, when they were scared shitless for each other's well being. I'd definitely read Puck's story, so Julie, please give it to us! Or a prequel of Ash and Puck's good old times. Or both. I could live with it!
Again what made me give this book 4 starts instead of 5, was the beginning. I loved seeing Ash and Puck together, I must repeat. But since a little character showed up and started messing up with Ash's head, it was never the same. And it wasn't what I wanted it to be. I wanted to see more friendship moments, and I ended up having to see a bitch getting between my boys. Again.
Anyway I loved their adventures, their battles, and the tests Ash went through. I also loved their two furry companions, the wolf and Grimalkin.
But those last couple of pages are a mystery to me. I feel kinda dumb, but forgive my stupidity, if you read the book, can you explain me what happened with Grimalkin and some skeleton? I think I know who was the dead beast, but I have no idea what it meant. Does it have anything to do with the spin off? Ethan's story?

I loved getting to read the Iron Fey series from Ash's perspective!
The Iron Fey series has left me with an intense book hangover.
Cheers for that.
