I loved the first 262 pages but then after that it dulled for me. Perhaps because the first 262 pages is covered in the games and the rest is inspired by what is revealed in another game but it's not shown, it's almost implied. Who knows? I would give it 3.5 if I could but so can't. I feel a bit stuck but I feel as if I have to go with how I felt when I was finished so three it is.

Enjoyed this a lot! Catchy story line and fun to see how history and fantasy are mixed together

Altaïr took care of apple of eden and pages of codex, of all knowledge assasins sware to tresure. Only to lose it.

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex was a personal journal written by the Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Mentor of the Levantine Assassins, following the death of Al Mualim. It documents his explorations into the Apple of Eden he possessed, and it offers an autobiographical view of his life and various assassination-related articles.

Apple of Eden was a Piece of Eden created by the Isu with the primary purpose of controlling the neurotransmitters in humans to ensure their obedience. Like other Pieces of Eden, it has a long and storied history and has been referred to by many names throughout history.

Altair embarks on a formidable mission—one that takes him throughout the Holy Land and shows him the true meaning of the Assassin's Creed. To demonstrate his commitment, Altair must defeat nine deadly enemies, including Templar leader, Robert de Sable.

The problem is it was not as good as books about real history. When I read real history, biography, books on history or even historical novel I enjoy reading with my consciousness just like I would enjoy meal and a bath.

I liked the two last books. But this one disappointed me. Normally I wouldn't use 5 days to read a book with 453 pages, but I couldn't get myself to read it.

I will maybe read the next book, only because in the epilogue Ezio was there, and I love Ezio xP

A really excellent novelisation of the original video game which fills in some of the gaps during and after the events of the game. Many big fans of Assassin's Creed started the series on Assassin's Creed 2 (that's when I started really enjoying it) but neglected to play the first due to it being basically a lesser version of Ezio's first adventure. This I think would appeal to the people who just want to understand Altair's first adventure leading into a play though or replay of Assassin's Creed Revelations. I find its really much easier to enjoy Altair's character when he isn't voiced by an American and you can imagine a native arabic speaker in your head.

— Înainte s-o faci, Niccolò, mi-ai putea spune despre ce-i vorba?

Altair was the first protagonist of the long-running Assassin's Creed franchise, back in an age when storytelling in video games was not taken in such high regard as it is nowadays. This book did an incredible job in expanding the mythology of the first Master Assassin (no matter how many games Ubisoft invents before the events of AC 1, Altair will always be the first!), building on characters and events in a way that the game was not capable of doing. A must-read for fans of the franchise and even for those who never played the games but are looking for their next Fantasy book!

I had high expectations for this book for it is the story of the Master Assassin who started the whole series - Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. This character is my favourite Master Assassin and Mentor of the Brotherhood. I relished again every bit of the book and through the pages lived the life of this extraordinary man. Oliver Bowden did not disappoint. I had a bit of a book hangover for I felt that this is the best book in the series so far.
