I absolutely loved this book. The single mom, grief journey, the caring neighbor… I ate it up. It deals with heavier content but in a way that doesn’t feel insanely heavy, and it was incredibly well done. This is my favorite of the series, hands down. I could not stop listening. Vanessa and Aiden were absolutely perfect

Ob-freaking-sessed!! That’s it. That’s my review. I really enjoyed the audio for this book - Teddy had been to hell and back and moves in next to Xander…and well he steps in to help her in ways she could never expect.
The audio for this book is 🔥🔥 Both of these narrators brought so many layers to these characters. Grief and loss are so complicated and I thought the author did a wonderful job showing Teddy and her kids start to work through it.
Vanessa brought so much emotion and heartbreak and strength to Teddy. Aiden was perfect for Xander! The chemistry and the tension between these two was so good you could feel it. Xander is all in for Teddy and her kids. He is caring and patient and has quite the mouth on him 😉
I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in the series!

Xander’s constant willingness to pitch it, his unwavering support, his intense attention - all of it light a fire Teddy wasn’t sure she could handle.
Things I Loved:
-This whole series paints such a beautiful picture of the sacrifice of hotshots/first responders. I’m extremely grateful for the real life men and women who “FIGHT for those who can’t. PROTECT those they can. HONOR the ones we’ve lost.”
-I LOVE WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN. This girl gang is exactly what every mama needs.
-Xander & Teddy are so real. They fight through the roadblocks in their relationship (even if I was frustrated with them at points - they came to the right conclusion in the end.)
-Hello SPICE - Xander’s obsession with Teddy is applaud worthy. He will stop at nothing to ensure she sees just how amazing she really is.

Honor is the third book in the Sky Ridge Hotshots series, and follows Teddy and Xander. We got bits and pieces of these two in the prior books, so I couldn't wait to get their full story. This book is beautifully written and much more emotional than I expected, but I enjoyed every second of Teddy and Xander's journey.
Xander is the superintendent of his firefighter crew and Cal's best friend. He is dedicated to a career that comes with dangers he can't control, and doesn't have room in his life for a relationship. Enter Teddy. She is a recently widowed, single mom of two with one on the way, who moved to Sky Ridge to rebuild her life. Teddy also happens to be Cal's little lister. Xander has been secretly in love with Teddy for years, but she was completely off-limits. Now they are neighbors, and Xander can't stay away. Spending time with Teddy and her children starts to change Xander's ideas about what his future could look like.
I loved Teddy and Xander together. It takes some time for their relationship to develop, however, they both have completely understandable fears. Witnessing them work through their fears, grow as people, and discover they were exactly what each other needed, was really satisfying. Teddy is dealing with a lot. She is navigating grief, trying to be the best mother possible, and wants so badly to create an environment her family can thrive in. Xander proved that he was the best man for her. He consistently showed up for Teddy and her children, and showed her it was ok to let love into her heart again. Teddy and Xander had an amazing connection and undeniable chemistry. This is a slow-burn, but when things start to heat up, they HEAT UP. Xander has a mouth on him, and every single time he called her "mama", I melted.
The found family element in this story was perfect. I loved getting to know this amazing group and how supportive they all are of each other. Sky Ridge Hotshots is a great series, and Teddy and Xander's story was an amazing way to wrap things up.

This was my first Danielle Baker book and I’m a huge fan!! She writes some delicious tension, chemistry, and spice all while managing to pack in all my favorite microtropes!
In this final installment of the Sky Ridge Hotshots series we get to know more about Teddy and Xander in this beautifully tender, second-chance romance that’s full of heart! As a mom myself, I definitely related to Teddy’s experience as a single mom. One of the best parts of this audiobook was hearing a man speak about a single mom the way Xander does!! The way he’s so clearly obsessed with her—it comes through in every single word Aiden Snow delivers. Xander is officially my reigning book boyfriend. He’s set the bar high for book dads everywhere.
Speaking of narration—Aiden and Vanessa were next-level together. Their chemistry was unreal. Vanessa’s sweet, melodic voice captured Teddy’s self-doubt and vulnerability so well. Her performance brought depth to the emotional moments, especially as Teddy struggled with feeling unsure about Xander’s affection.
Aiden was the perfect match for Xander’s character. He completely embodied that tender, gentle-giant energy, while still bringing the strength and dominance Xander uses to support and reassure Teddy. His deep, rich voice conveyed all of Xander’s intensity and warmth—absolutely perfect casting.
The entire Sky Ridge Hotshots series is easily making my Top 25 audiobooks of the year. Highly recommend!
