Alright, when I first read The blurb for this book, I thought this would be the perfect book for me. Mafia, Forced Marriage, Badass FMC? Totally up my alley.
But then the book fell a bit flat for me. I honestly did love Kayla. She truly was the tough kind of FMC I love to read about. She took crap from no one and met her match with Nathan White, head of one of the mafia organizations in their area.
But it was Nathan I wasn't a fan of. His growth and the romance that was built didn't feel super fleshed out. Also, it just seemed super out of character for him to fall in love as fast as he did.
And honestly, this book was way too long. I don't need my spicy romance novels to be almost 600 pages.
Other than that, I mostly enjoyed this and the s3x scenes where pretty much everything.

THIS BOOK. OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS. NATHAN & KAYLA.... I'M SPEECHLESS RIGHT NOW.
I have to say, I was so annoyed with how Nate was in the beginning and trust me Ms. King has written this one so spectacularly that you feel absolute hate for Nate and will be adamant that there's just no way this person will even make me feel an ounce of anything for him and then Ms. King will make you eat your own words as you will feel an avalanche of feelings that's solely evoked by none other Mr. Nathan White.
This one was nothing less than a wild rollercoaster as we went through so many ups and downs and dramatic turns that I was so freaking glued to the pages.
The starting scene itself had me nerve wrecked. Kayla King is crowned King for a reason. She's a tough woman and a freaking ๐ป๐บ๐ฝ๐บ๐๐ but now she's left with no choice as things have escalated and if she wants to continue her reign of the North Shore, she will have to take drastic decisions.
Those scenes when all ๐๐พ๐ ๐ breaks loose were crazy and so terrifying and yet Kayla King prevails as the tough queen she is. Her crew always comes first and she'll do anything for them.
Nathan White is a maniac and a psychopath who's been plotting his revenge for so long now that Kayla finally gets entrapped, he can't wait to savour his sweet victory.
I have to say that even though Nathan was so cold and emotionless yet the way he takes over the Crews and plans to rule the town and his business strategy, all of it had me in awe of the complex yet genius plan that he had made.
Be ready for a lot of hate fcking and - I hate it but I love the things you do to me vibes as Nathan makes Kayla do things that tests their boundaries not only physically but especially mental ones.
Nathan and Kayla were sort of made for each other kinda couple where they do the filthiest things and inspite of their mutual hate, surrender to the sizzling and crackling chemistry between them time and again.
As Nathan becomes more and more obsessed with Kayla, so do their times together get all the more spicier and dirtier. But oh my... Nathan and Kayla sure could start fires with just the passion they share.๐ฅต๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ๐ฅ
Yes, I hated Nathan at the beginning and for most of the book as he was just so emotionless and kept Kayla prisoner. More so, his mental games were the ones that had me wanting to off him myself.
But. THEN NATHAN KING BECOMES THE REAL HERO, IN THE REAL SENSE OF THE WORD. His Obsession becomes his care for his family and the way he loves them and does things for them.... Oh my freaking goodness... Nathan White might be a psychopath but he's a man who'll do anything and I mean anything for his family. Ahhh... I couldn't believe Nathan was making me sigh for him.
There's a lot happening in this book and definitely this one is a MUST READ and not to be missed if you love your heroes to be over the top Obsessed with a dash of madness and lots of danger.
That ending nearly took everything out of me as drastic turns take place and some of them so unbelievable, I couldn't fathom the reality of it. But also, I was petrified and waiting to see oh so anxiously, how they could get out of this situation as it was a dead end and also scared to find out what was happening on the other side.
I can't believe the many emotions I felt while reading this one as it was packed with wild twists, secrets and dramatic turns but also heartbreak and so much more. I have smiled and sighed and cried too, but most of the time, I was turning the pages so fast needing to see what trick Nathan had next up his sleeve.
Ughhh... I can't believe this series is done now as I'm not ready for it to end. What a Wild ride this one was for sure. Loved freaking loved loved this one.โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

OMG Lawless God is a wild ride. This is the 4th book in the series and my first book of the series. I went in completely blind and I have to say I was not disappointed. Nate is completely unhinged and I absolutely loved it. Is he a psychopath? Well yeah but it so hot!!!!!! And he calls her little sunflower, swoon. Ok so I really enjoyed this book and will definitely have to go back and read the first 3 so I can get background on all the characters. Kayla is a Bad Ass and leader of her crew and she has earned that position. She lied in court and got Nate sent to prison to protect her crew but now heโs out and coming for her. This whole book was amazing, the story kept me absolutely hooked!!! Check the trigger warnings on this one but if you love dark books this is for you.

This book was my idea of perfection. I ended up giving it infinity stars. Thereโs just something about a dark romance with great banter between the main characters that gets me everything!
Iโm so sad to close this chapter of the North Shore but what a way to end it. Kayla is the most badass FMC, she might be kidnapped and forced to marry her enemy but that doesnโt stop her fight. Nate, well heโs someone who has absolutely no human emotionsโฆ until he kidnaps Kayla and finds himself doing things heโs never done before.
This book has 20+ trigger warnings & those warnings did not disappoint. I loved the touch her & die moments but my favourite was when Kayla turns it into touch him & die.
These two had me laughing with their banter and they ways Kayla would try and escape. A frying man with eggs over the head? Nope didnโt work

Nathan White is a vicious man who originally is set on seeking revenge on Kayla after she put him in prison. But over time, he becomes obsessed with her. They say Stockholm syndrome is real and dang, you see that in this book. ๐ฎโ๐จ
He is unhinged and I loved every second of it. He is not morally grey, he is morally black. And I have to say, I loved that about him. ๐ค
This is the fourth book in the series, but CAN be read as a standalone. No cheating and of course, a HEA ๐

Iโm sad to see this series come to an end, but I truly believe they saved the best for last. Kayla and Nateโs journey was toxic and twisted. It crossed lines and pushed boundaries and I loved every single moment. These North Shore residents may have come from the school of hard knocks, but they found a way to rise above and live in their own way. This book was everything I didnโt know I needed. It messed with my mind and emotions and Iโm sure it will stay with me forever.

I loved this book. The characters, the story, the plot twists were all so well-written.
I loved the crazy dynamic and chemistry between Kayla and Nathan. Both of them were dark and twisted, and really interesting.
There were times I hated Nathan during one sentence and loved him the next sentence. He was an unpredictable psychopath, but at the same time, such a softie and a loving person.
The character development was great, especially on Nathan, and I liked how he stayed himself but also learned and matured as a character.
The huge plot twist towards the end was something I truly didnโt see coming. The ending felt a bit rushed, while the beginning of the book was more slow-paced.
I havenโt read any of Lola Kingโs books before, but I definitely need to check them out.
