I had the pleasure of getting to read an early copy of this, so some details may change by publication. However, this is brilliant. I love how the ending is completely rewritten while still touching on echoes of the original. I love that there were several points that I thought might be enough to end the repetition, but he had to keep searching. It was really great how thoroughly he needed to change, how obviously difficult it was for him to see. The various forms of denial and acceptance in dealing with his circumstances. All marvelously done. There were places that I laughed out loud to the astonishment of my entire household. There were places where I cried.

Great job, this was a real pleasure to read.

This was a fun Pride & Prejudice retelling which really made me think a lot about Darcy's character and what his thoughts may have been like in P&P. I really enjoyed it, and particularly enjoyed the fact that it was centered around the stay at Rosings (which was a fun part of the original novel :)). Thank you for the copy, Netgalley!

I love the premise of this, Darcy is forced to live his proposal day over and over again until he gets it right. The plot and story are done well, any questions you have about the fantasy are addressed in the narrative so you can stay in the story without questioning the believably of it. I did feel like the middle of the story dragged on. Yes, its going to take him a bit of time to realize how truly stuck he is in the timewarp, but I felt like it too him too many days before he started taking action into his own hands (in this way, Elizabeth Adams's story November 26th does this a bit better, Elizabeth quickly realizes that there must be a reason she's stuck in time and sets out to fix it). Overall a nice story.

Oh, be still my heart. Darcy’s character development in this made me so proud ❤️ be warned-the ending is sad. Happy, but sad. Get tissues.

A charming P & P variation. What would happen if Darcy had to relive the day of the disastrous proposal at the vicarage over and over? I found myself enjoying Darcy and Elizabeth's courtship in a whole new way.

There were some exceptional scenes in this story and of those a few humorous ones. The overall tone is quite serious, due to the difficult and unimaginable situation Darcy finds himself in, but also due in part to the very fine English level with which this story was written.
I found I had to reread sentences here and there to grasp the intent and meaning. It was tiring and for me took away a little enjoyment of just being able to sink into the story.

I liked this a lot. I had just recently read [b:The 26th of November: A Pride and Prejudice Comedy of Farcical Proportions|40737571|The 26th of November A Pride and Prejudice Comedy of Farcical Proportions|Elizabeth Adams|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1530957997l/40737571._SY75_.jpg|63390674] which is very similar. A "Groundhog Day" approach, but that one features Elizabeth living the same day over and over (earlier in the story, the day of the Netherfield Ball). Maybe because I read that one first, I liked it a little better? This was great too. Very fun from Darcy's perspective to understand some of the things he was feeling. The language and everything seemed very authentic. I did not really understand the addition of Mrs. Eleanor Wray (SPOILERS ... perhaps to show that Darcy turned down the temptation of an easy sexual encounter, as "it didn't really happen" with the reset, or to have him experience "death" and still awaken to relive the day, without him going to the extreme of attempting to take his own life).

Another thumbs up for JAFF :)

This is a unique view of Mr. Darcy for P&P lovers....told from his perspective with him repeating the day of failed proposal until he rights his wrongs.
