This was a fantastic dark romance. I've never predicted a twist and still been so excited about the outcome even I knew what would happen.

I mean, damn. That ending was the perfect choice for this story.

Hmmm...I figured it out long before the ending but kept reading. Parts of the story were sooooo annoying, yet it was interesting enough to keep me reading until the end.

Uh.... why did none of my friends throw this book at me and tell me to sit down and read? NOW I have to read everything in the series, and the rest of her stories! *sigh*

Loved this first in the series, and what it took to help Vivian get past her issue!

Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated

It's a bit of a journey....

I don't think I have the words to really describe what I read and how much I enjoyed it.
It's a marriage in trouble that uses unconventional methods to help them both get what they most need.

this book was NOT what i was expecting. from the first chapter i was extremely intrigued. why was vivian the way she was? why did she resent michael? why was everything so secretive? i was rooting for michael. he didn’t really give us much but i don’t know, i was feeling it.

i didn’t care for anton or any of their chapters. i mean i think that’s the point, i don’t know? their chapters were just too much. too long. it took up so much of the book. i started skimming their chapters as soon as she went to the house. i just can’t read so much of that. i know it was to show vivian’s transformation and all of that, but eh.

if the book was more of michael and vivian and less of anton (and company) i would have enjoyed this more. kitty thomas is a good writer, i will probably read more from her, it’s just sometimes a bit much!

i prefer when dark books have romantic undertones, it makes reading them easier. you go away with a sense of peace (because you know they’re safe… you know?). i didn’t get that from this book.

idk much to think about.

All I have to say is wow! This was my first time reading a dark erotica book and I loved it. I did get a bit annoyed with Vivian at first though she was so in denial of everything that she was allowing to happen. I guess she was using the black mail as an excuse, but in reality enjoyed every bit of what was going on. The end was just awesome I figured something like that was going to happen, but certain parts wouldn't make me think that that is what was going on. A definite recommended read! The end will blow you away!

I'm very rarely right when I try to assume how a story is going to go, especially a story written by Kitty. But I was right this time and I loved every second of it.

I don't have much to say because I don't want to spoil it but ...

Someone marriages are unhappy ones. How far would you go to change it?

Just a quick Review.

I liked this book as much as I like all of Thomas's books, but I saw the twist coming a mile off.

It only slightly distracted from the overall enjoyment, but the bit that really annoyed me was the epilogue at the end of the book. I know it was so that the twist was never reveled, but I would have liked this to be scattered around the main story.
