Wowza, I loved this ride

This is the conclusion of the trilogy that is from Catori’s POV, and what a ride it has been. At no point did I ever really know who to trust or what to expect next. I felt Catori’s pain and betrayal each time she discovered she had been lied to or tricked. She has fought against her adversaries, those who she trusted but betrayed her, those who were really on her side but still hurt her in the process, and against herself. Not only is she young and impulsive, but she is thrust into a world and a battle she knew nothing about. She fought hard in this book, much more so than in the previous books. She definitely rose to the challenge and earned her place as queen.

Felt like it went by too fast, but I liked the ending.

I won’t give any spoilers but I do have to say- I have NEVER in my life been so engrossed in a story. In most series, you basically know what’s going to happen by the middle of the first book. This series had me guessing up until the very end. Cleverly written with relatable characters that you can’t help but love or well hate some of them but then love them again. I read all three within three days.. like didn’t sleep- read while I fixed my hair, while I ate and (don’t tell anyone) even at two social gatherings. I became so emotionally attached to the characters and fell in love with Cat!! I’m pretty sad now that it’s over.. definitely one of my top three favorite series.

I can confirm this series was addictive. I was sucked into the world from the first page, felt everything from the second I read and loved every minute of it. AND IT HAD A GOOD ENDING.
I always find when I read series the second book is boring and the last one has a bad ending it this didn’t happen at all for this series. Everything was planned out well and nothing felt unnecessary or ridiculous.
I loved Cat and Ace and I liked seeing the characters develop, especially with Cruz.

I 100% recommend this series!

One of the most anticipated finishing final book to Catoris story. I loved how this book pulled everything together in a way that still made me guess at every turn who was an ally and who was an enemy. We finally get to see the faerie lands which are so uniquely described that I felt that I was actually in the book with the characters. Catori finally grew on me as a character and I think a part of that was the fact of her accepting who she was. And of course who doesn’t love and enemies to lovers trope!!! Between Ace and Cruz, man my mind was all over the place. I enjoyed the use of all the different types of faeries as well as seeing the hunter incorporated into the mix. Definitely took my mind in 100 different places with the relationship aspects but overall I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to read on!

An exciting final to the trilogy

Cat had decided on a few things after everything that had happened. One, she would never kill anyone ever again. Two, she was done with faerie bargains. And three, she would not marry the enemy. The only problem is that she broke all those rules when someone came to murder her father. She now has to go to the faerie isle and lie to her loved ones in the process, and there's nothing she can do to stop it.

Although the beginning was a little annoying with useless boy drama, the second part of the book had me on a tight grip. I couldn't put it down. It was like being transported into another world entirely, and in a way, it was exactly that. The fantasy part of the series was more present, for my greatest pleasure. Cat faced difficult choices, and the decisions she made were motivated by love and the want to do what's right, which I admire. The world was truly amazing and fascinating, I loved to discover more about characters that were mentionned but never seen, it was quite exciting. As for the romance... it was hot and full of tension, a perfect follow-up to the characters' relationship throughout the beginning of the story. The plot twists were surprising, but also made a lot of sense afterward, and it was a very pleasant and conclusive ending to Cat's story. The writing was quite gripping, especially when Cat was in precarious situations, and it had me turning the pages faster than I could read to see what would happen next. I'm really glad I picked this trilogy up and continued reading after the first one, and I look forward to read other books by Olivia.

I'd recommend to fans of faeries and urban fantasy with political intrigues and a lot of romance.
