This book is a series of miscommunication tropes strung together. It’s also a story of a woman learning to reframe her life rather than see herself the way toxic people from her past have described her. And that’s beautiful.
Sybil struggles with self image, significant medical issues, and crippling insecurity. I love her growth. However, the plot points were predictable and the miscommunication was cringey.
I LOVE the core four friend group, and would have loved more of it.

After having read the first book, this one definitely exceeded my expectations. It felt more whole than the first book and the pace felt a little better but like the first book, this one relies heavily on miscommunications to move the plot forward.

Taylor Swift's "The Bolter" and "happiness" in book form.

Yet another read that didn’t tell me anywhere that it was a companion novel. Sighhhh. The love story was nice and I liked the setting. Would I have liked the description to say ANYWHERE that it connected to another book? Yes.

Highly recommend reading book 1, I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if I had read it.

Quick, easy, fun read. The storyline was interesting and I liked the main characters.
