Give Me A Reason (finished 28th November) - Rated 4.5 Stars

I loved Give Me Reason. It was filled with angst, suspense, twists, turns, steam and so much more. It was also packed with emotion. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, Trent and Eden. It was palpable, a living breathing energy that leapt off the page. The narrators were an absolute joy to listen to and they did an amazing job bringing these characters and story to life. I can't imagine any other narrators to these characters justice. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to dive into the next one.

Say It's Forever (finished 30th November) - Rated 4.5 Stars

I am so loving this series. Say It’s Forever was awesome. There was danger, action, suspense, angst, twists and turns and emotion. The emotion practically dripped off the pages. I loved every moment of it. I loved the way the past and present were interwoven into the story. It ramped up the suspense elements and kept me wholly engaged. The narrators did a great job of rendering life to this story and its characters. I loved listening to them. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings. I highly recommend this story as well.

Never Look Back (finished 3rd December) - Rated 4 Stars

I enjoyed Never Look Back. The tone and vibe of this one was very much different to its predecessors. It still had the action, suspense and danger elements to it but where the previous two books had a MC feel to them this one felt more mafia. I loved that it was similar yet different. I love how fierce these men love and how protective they are of their women and children this aspect was somehow more pronounced in this book which I absolutely adored. I loved watching Logan and Aster reconnect and fall for each other all over again. The narrators did a superb job with these two and their story. They were an absolute pleasure to listen to. I definitely recommend this story.

Promise Me Always (finished 5th December) - Rated 4.5 Stars

Promise Me Always was amazing. I loved it. Milo and Tessa's journey was fraught with danger, suspense, a bit of action, steam and much more. The narrator choices for this book were spot on. Connor Crais' voice was absolutely perfect for Milo. It was the perfect pitch and deepness. Samantha Brentmoor embodied Tessa to a T. They both did an excellent bringing these characters, situations and stories to vivid life. I loved listening to them. I most definitely recommend this book.

I loved listening to this entire collection and very highly recommend it. It was the perfect marriage of contemporary romance and romantic suspense.  Tessa, the heroine said something that fully summed up this collection and that was "triumph over trauma" which is exactly what each couple did, they triumphed over every trauma.

Umm so I finally understand the feeling of wanting to immediately start a book over after finishing it.

This book was my first dark biker romance I think and now it’s safe to say I’m addicted and have found a new subgenre to love. I also found a new author and series to love because holy crap was I completely consumed by this book and these characters.

This book had some of the best angst I could ever ask for. Trent was such a lovable character, even though he didn’t think he deserved any kind of love. This man was just utter perfection, I know he may have

I loved Trent Lawson, a tattooed biker and owner of bar who has loved to Redemption Hills with his son and 2 brothers. His son Gage is a brilliant character.
I loved Eden, a strong willed, wearing her heart on her sleeve woman who is drawn to Trent and his darkness within.
As the pair try to navigate the sparks and connection between them their attraction cannot be held back. Added in the joyous and happy Gage who is just so adorable this love story between a haunted man and a woman dealing with grief was brilliant.
I loved everything about this book and am heading straight onto book 2.
A wonderful romance, full of love, hope and it tugs at your heart strings.

Listened to the audiobook.
5 stars for narration, 2 for the story.

Too much infantilization of the fully adult MFC for me. Major icks.
She exclusively calls her father “Daddy”, even in conversations with others.
MMC calls her a “girl”, even in the spicy scenes. Calls her kitten, but not in a sexy way.

i really wanted to like this book. i thought the plot had serious potential. unfortunately i had some issues in enjoying this book:
1. the internal monologue - i wish the author would’ve spent less time on this and more time on developing the actual relationship between Eden and Trent. i caught myself skimming a lot of this because i just felt it was unnecessary and didn’t do anything for the plot.
2. these characters are supposed to be from LA and northeastern California…. why are they talking like they’re from Mississippi or Arkansas?
3. why is Gage, who’s 5, either talking like a adult or a baby?
4. just because Trent is a “biker” doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to use full sentences?
5. take out all the double words and back to back double sentences in this book and it would probably go from more than 400 pages to less than 300.

This was a perfect mixture of romance, mystery, sadness, plus more. Their story was so angsty in all the best ways. To say they had it rough would be an understatement, but the love pouring out of Eden and Trent was felt through the words they spoke. A beautiful story of a haunted soul and a second chance!

Give me a reason is a standalone & I honestly couldn’t get enough of it. You have this woman who is a sweet innocent teacher by day & a shy club worker at night. She needed the extra money to help her father which is why she started the club job in the first place. Only the owner is not only her boss but she discovered he’s the dad of one of her students. Like what? Lol talk about a forbidden romance. But Trent has a past and there’s some things that can come back and haunt him. Some twists and some intense moments. But This book was smexy and I couldn’t get enough of Eden & Trent. The banter was HOT :)
