I enjoyed this book so much! I liked it a lot more than And Then There Were None.. which seems like a weird thing to say about her most popular novel. I found this book so much more enjoyable because I felt like I was so invested in the mystery Tommy and Tuppence were solving together. Not only were these characters THE BEST, but this one just had me guessing right up to the last second. I am so glad that my co-worker caught me reading And Then There Were None and lent me his Tommy and Tuppence books! Definitely will be continuing this series.

my first agatha christie book!! it was enjoyable and surprisingly easy to get through…. i think i’m in love with tommy now oops

3.8 stars. A little obvious, but delightful in its own way. It was fun to see how Tommy and Tuppence got together and how they formed the adventurers.
mysterious fast-paced

This book begins with two friends in their early 20s after world war 2 has ended. They’re desperate for jobs and trying to come up with a plan to make money, when an opportunity comes knocking. When they begin looking more into it though, it seems the entire situation is much dirtier and riskier than expected. They’re enlisted to help track down people involved in the communist scare, detailing their adventure.

There were certainly twists and turns, although I called the ending and kind of proud of that. Curious if other people had the same experience.

It was an okay story but I didn’t feel sucked in and considered DNF’ing it a few times. I had to keep convincing myself to pick up the book by not letting myself start another until this was done.

El libro no es lento pero yo leo súper lento ahora y me ha tomado un mes, creo, acabarlo. No es mi favorito de Agatha, está ok.

This had a decent start and a somewhat interesting premise but I just couldnt get into it and started getting bored and checking how many pages were left quite quickly. It was mostly ok for something out of my usual reading genre but I didn't enjoy it and it hasn't enticed me to read more.
