It was really good! I hope the momentum continues and that the third book doesn't become slow to read.

This was a disappointment compared to the first book in the series. While the love story between Bianca and Lucas was interesting and manageable during the first book, it was absolutely annoying in this one. All they did was pout through the whole thing. Bianca pouting because Lucas won't become a vampire. Lucas pouting because Bianca is walking (just walking) next to Balthazar. Bianca pouting because she has to leave Lucas and go back to Evernight. It goes on.

Basically, Bianca is almost Bella-like in this book. She just cannot live without Lucas, and no kind of companionship with anyone else is enough. I just felt like smacking both of them, honestly.

Evernight had some pretty good twists in it. I was actually really surprised at what Claudia Gray did at the end of that novel. These twists, not so much. I wasn't really satisfied with why the ghosts were actually at the school. It was just kind of a "meh" moment for me.

However, I didn't hate this book. The ending was pretty interesting, and (except for their explanation) the ghosts haunting the school was pretty interesting. Overall, if you haven't read this series yet, try picking up the first one. I'm definitely going to read the next one.

This book is about a vampire girl who falls in love with a human vampire lover. His parent think that her parnets aren't her real ones and that she is human and got kidnapped. But the deeper she falls in love with him the harder it get to see him. Suddenly a threat to Evernight, the vampire school she goes to, by a friends sister puts everything on the line. Will she choose to stay with her one true love and live a lie or stay and help her parents and friends? Oh and there is one more thing she will never become a full vampire... To find out what happen you will have to read the book.

Quite a lot better than the first. Found the lore Gray used quite interesting, and was the main reason I enjoyed this book. Still very cliche and definitely for an audience younger than my 22yo self.

This book is a lot like the first one except for the universe getting deeper.
An annoying thing is how Bianca keeps whining about Lucas when she's got the gorgeous Balthazar right there. Why can't the main character be with the 'right one' for once? The one that's loved by parents and everything - then there'd be space for other stuff instead (like personal growth)!

I really liked Evernight. I mean I really really liked it! Loved it even! And as much as I loved Evernight– Stargazer is even better!

I don’t want to go into the plot too much and really go into what happens because a lot happens! And you’re really going to want to discover it all for yourself!

In my review of Evernight, I mentioned that I would like to learn more about Balthazar, and I was happy to see happen in this novel. The plot becomes even more complicated if you can believe that. Gray threw some huge twists in there, that I DID NOT see coming.

The character relationships became more complex as well, adding to the overall allure of the novel. It was interesting to see how some things tied together completely. One of the most important things to me as a reader is good characterization and Stargazer has that. As well as impressive writing on Gray’s part. I love Bianca and Lucas’s story!

The only thing bad about this novel is that ended! I’m dying to know what happens next! I really don’t know if I can wait! A must read for vampire fans!

This sequel was pretty good. I still liked the first one better but it was full of action and was a good installment.

Well written YA. With vampires and ghosts/wraiths.

Well Claudia Gray lost me on this one. Sure there was heaps more Balthazar (always a good thing) but there wasn't enough in this novel to really capture my interest or enthrall me. The only thing that excited me what a scene between Bianca and Balty that was rudely interrupted by a wraith. That's not enough to make the other 331 pages worth the read.

Lucas bores me. Raquel annoys me. There's not enough of Vic or Ranulph. Charity is a bland and boring villain. In fact, Bianca is pretty bland and boring herself. That being said, I will read Hourglass just to find out what happens. But my interest in the Black Cross is non-existent and the only person (scrap that, vampire) I give two hoots about is left behind.

Overrated, underwritten and clearly created as a paper thin bridge in a larger series. Not good enough. A lukewarm twist doesn't a good book make.
