This book ripped my heart out and stomped on it and then stuffed it back into my chest like nothing happened.
The amount of emotional damage this book has caused me will keep my therapist busy.
The kindle cover was misleading, I thought I was going to read a smutty romance with some “suspense” thrown in. There’s no smut. Don’t be deceived by the tattooed muscular man on the cover.
With all that said, 5 FREAKING STARS!
If an author can pull my emotions to the point I’m sobbing for a solid 5 minutes like a lost my childhood best friend, then they get all the stars.
So many trigger warns though, look them up

This book was so good!! It really depicted what I'd like to be in an abusive relationship. What you feel, what your ashamed of, what your scared of. It brought up a lot of dormant feelings for me but gave me such a great feeling also that I was able to escape and hope for others that they will also.
