Having practised meditation for over 25 years, I loved learning the science behind what actually happens in your brain when you meditate. Joe outlines the research he has done on how people can impact their brain through their thoughts and simply explains complex quantum concepts to the reader.

I've also downloaded his meditations and found them very powerful along with the examples in his book. Your thoughts do create your reality and Joe shows you why this happens and teaches you how to do it. Well written and insightful - full of facts not just fantasy.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF at 31%. I tried so, so hard to get through this book, but his mix of pseudoscience and actual fact is so dangerous. Do NOT tell people that they can manifest cancer away. HES NOT EVEN A REAL DOCTOR!!!!

DID NOT FINISH: 45%

It was fine, I put it down for a bit and I realized I was dreading picking it back up because I don't think I agree philosophically that health issues can be solved by fixing the spirit. I do think on a personal level that meditation and many of the things he talked about in his book are helpful tools, but it got into a bit of hairy territory with health matters.
That and like 60% of it is a sales pitch for his irl workshops. Maybe if I would have read more of it, it would have changed my mind, but if I wasn't sold after 150ish pages, I'm not sure if it would have gotten any better.

This book changed my thinking about the power within to be more than I ever thought possible. Dr. Dispenza gives the science, the studies and the methods by which we can be supernatural. Much of this I have known on some level, but this book truly confirmed what I once had only dared to hope or dream of. Within each of us there is the capacity to evolve into more consciousness that will bring forth a different future.

To be honest, I sped audio read this book because I was running out of time on my digital library loan and this is a highly requested book. It takes weeks to get access to it. Given this was my second borrow, I needed to finish it!

Despite speed “reading,” I sat with a handful of moments that resonated. I truly do believe in healing our own bodies with our minds (accompanied by other healing practices). I’ve witnessed it through friends & family with cancer and have heard many other stories. Our mindset has the power to lead us toward healing or more sickness. It is an incredibly difficult practice though that a book alone cannot do this for us but I’m sure it’s a start. At least knowing the possibility and thinking of ways to change and realign our lives.

I hope to get a hard copy of this book or purchase an audio copy so I can listen to the meditations Dispenza provides more intentionally.

I’ve heard some critiques of Dispenza as well that I do not remember, but I hope to come across them again so I can think more critically about this book.

It comes across like a textual infomercial. Very awkward, condescending phrasing throughout. Long winded and often repetitive.

Somewhat clear instructions that could be helpful to add to your meditation practice, but honestly not good if you're just getting into meditation. It's easy to follow but does not properly introduce someone to the full concepts, structures and purposes of meditation.

For whatever reason i never marked this as read but i did and it was so enlightening. I recommend it to EVERYONE.

It's has been long since I stopped reading a book and gave it up completely. It's just not my thing, this book. It might have some truth, but I rather be happy NOW than constantly thinking the future. Very American, very 'everything can be made'. Like I said, not for me.
