I got really sucked into this story , it had me on the edge of my seat petrified and anxious to find out what would happen . I never thought I would love this book as much as I did , but I loved the authors writing style and found it different to what I’ve read before.

I really enjoyed all the multiple points of view throughout this , I thought it be might of been hard to follow with its changing between them but I found it really easy to follow still. I found each character added to the suspense.

I really couldn’t put this book down and read it within a day, this book was creepy, dark, emotional and kept me edge the edge of my seat the whole time while reading it, I found the author kept me guessing all the way through this book till the very end.

I have never read from this author before and since finishing I’ve already checked out her other books.

"This," I pointed at the map, "is Whisper Island."

A chance for a group of college kids to get away for the summer and really explore their art. It's to an island off Alaska - one only accessible by boat. But it's free rent and all the art time they can manage - a time to really explore themselves.

Which sounds great until they arrive. The house isn't what they expect and their spooked by the arrival of another girl's brother and girlfriend. It doesn't take long for the murders to start. It's a fun little mystery, trying to untangle what was really going on and just how twisted the story was. I loved suspecting every last person and coming up with elaborate conclusions. In the end, I was not disappointed and the final conclusion was delicious and horrible. I loved the twists, the unique deaths and the well-written plot and suspense. I look forward to reading more from this author!

An e-ARC was provided to me by the author and publishing via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

*I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) through NetGalley. I received this copy free in exchange for my honest review.*

So I flew through the first 215 pages of this book, the characters in the story had me guessing and I couldn’t put it down. Then I figured out who the killer was, I think too soon and it slowed it down for me. But it was still a solid read! The ending was still twisty and there was no nice neat bows here anywhere.

Carissa Ann Lynch's Whisper Island is nothing that hasn't been done before. With an oversaturated suspense genre, a book must really have something special to make it stand out. Unfortunately, Whisper Island didn't. This novel about four friends who head off to an Alaskan island for three months to focus on their art and connect, read rather amateurishly and failed to hold my attention. With all of the characters melding into one due to the lack of a distinct voice, I couldn't keep track of who was who, nor did I care to. To amplify the problem, this book had extremely short chapters, normally a good thing, but when a reader is already having trouble getting a firm grasp on the characters, constantly switching POVs just makes things even more confusing. While I am sure many will love this book, I was bored and disengaged.

This book had me hooked from the start!  I loved that each chapter was from a different character's perspective, and we soon got to see that they were all hiding something.  I thought the setting, while being a little predictable, was great - an island that turns out to be creepier than they had expected.  This kept me up late, just wanting to know what was going to happen next!  I found this to be a quick & gripping read.

Thanks to One More Chapter & Net Galley for the DRC in exchange for an honest review.

Four friends plan to visit a private island to relax and work on their art for three months. Sounds perfect but things quickly start going wrong. Will they all make it off the island?

This is truly a chilling book. Each of the girls has their second secrets and at least one is trying to run away from them. The story quickly reveals a creepy journal saying more will die and a human skull is found. Then the killing starts.

The setting is perfect for this book. When the girls arrive on the island they find a dirty and rundown house. They plan to fix it up but that plan is quickly derailed. The island is described beautifully with the buildings and forest. It really allows you to picture being on the island.

I was very surprised by the ending as I did not see it coming. It was the perfect ending for this story. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves horror books/movies.

These types of books are like crack to me. A group of people brought together, usually in some remote place, and they get picked off one by one! They are just so much fun to read. And this book was no different. I read it straight through from cover to cover. It was entertaining. Well paced. Each character had their own POV, which I always enjoy in these types of books. I will admit that I guessed who the killer was right from the start, but that didn't take away any of my enjoyment. A thoroughly delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I had no idea who was the killer or why he/she was killing the friends one by one. I loved the short chapters from each friend’s perspective....it kept me reading more and more...I kept thinking “I’ll put the book down after this chapter” but the next one was only another 6 minutes so I kept on reading...
