Okay...don’t get me wrong, I highly enjoyed this book! I loved the first 4/5 of the book but then it just dropped for me. I was not a fan of the ending as compared to the rest of the book. I think what annoyed me was how the main character thought of one of then other characters than had a reversal. I wish there wasn’t a forced romance, it felt like a much more enjoyable book without the main character having to fall for her landlord. Yes, her landlord. Boo.

This is a sweet and cozy book. I love the way books are portrayed and Nina’s ability to find the right book for the person. Nina’s transformation from mousy and quiet to confident and happy was something I think all of us who feel the same would like to experience. I also love the town. I have never wanted to run away to the Highlands as badly and I do now :)

I didn’t like the style of the writing, because it jumped around in weird ways sometimes.
The weird side thing with Marek didn’t really fit for me. It seemed like the idea of her always romanticizing people and relationships was conveyed well enough without it. Having it just felt like drama for drama’s sake, rather than to enhance the story in some way.
And the build up of the actual romance was a little lacking, but overall it was a nice read.

Nina loves books and loves her job at the local library. Then she finds out the library is closing and merging into a different branch with a whole new vision. In the midst of trying to figure out what she’s going to do, she gets hooked on the idea of starting a mobile library. The thought of it is scary and exciting at the same time. She steps out of her comfort zone and what unfolds is the adventure of her life. A fun lighter read, this novel is about being brave and stepping out to do something you love as well as the power of books and reading.

A delightful story about a bookish Nina who I loved from the first pages! This book was just a whole lot of fun and it made me want to completely overhaul my life and go run a bookmobile in the UK somewhere. :D I did love Nina a lot. I wanted her to choose this new life for herself so badly and so once she did, I was quite happy to travel alongside her as she figures this new chapter out. She is simply the endearing sort of bookish person who I could totally picture myself having lovely bookish convos with while we sat sipping our hot drinks in her bookmobile. Of course, her romantic prospects were an enjoyable diversion as well! This was simply a charming story that I want to reread again right now...

This book was so sweet to the point it got me teary eyed at some parts. I loved it❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Bookshop on the Corner is the first book within the Scottish Bookshop series.

This book made me so happy. If I could, I would totally want to travel into each and every book that I've fallen in love with. Heck, I might even be into one for a book that I haven't read yet. So, it sucks trying to live in the real world when fantasy sounds so much better.

I also really enjoyed the romance throughout this. Honestly because Nina deserved happiness. At times, I did kind of want the romance to be more on the back burner than anything but at other times I really enjoyed reading about it. It was easy to follow along with and the narrator did a great job as well.

In the end, I'm so happy that I finally dove into this. Will definitely have to find the next book and jump into it.

It was an easy read, loved the book van thread, and the idea of pursuing something you really love. Did NOT love Ninas naivety - a 30 year old who lives in Birmingham is NOT going to as innocent as this wee lamb was. Also did not love the bizarre Pride and Prejudice connotations (basically, I feel like this book swiped the romance characters from P&P). She could do better than a weird guy whose married and another who ignores her completely (or rather, ignores her completely and then goes straight to dirty sex? It was way too quick and just, if I had confusion about what type of book this was it was answered with that ‘he took her in the barn’ passage).

Still, bad romance plot aside, I liked it. It was an okay read.
