Helen has a perfect life. A successful architect husband, a beautiful Victorian house, and a baby on the way. Things start to change when she meets Rachel in a prenatal class. As the two women grow closer, Rachel's increasingly erratic behavior threatens to derail Helen's seemingly peaceful life in unexpected ways. A fast-paced thriller that had me on my toes with lots of twists and turns!

I enjoyed this thriller a lot. For the first part of the book I was convinced something else was going to happen (involving Helen and Rachel), but I was completely wrong and the story took a different direction. The story was pacy, from multiple POVs and included some very likeable and some very unlikeable characters. I would definitely read more by this author and recommend this book to all who enjoy a good thriller.

Maybe not an ideal book to read while preganant. But nonetheless, the author had laid out all the evidence for the reader to figure out what happened and who did it, yet I was still surprised by the plot-twist.
This was fine. The majority of the storyline was very predictable and lacked thrill, even without knowing exactly how each person was involved I felt myself looking for excitement that wasn’t there. There was an interesting twist towards the end that filled in a lot of the missing gaps.
Maybe would have been 3 stars if I read a physical copy as opposed to the audiobook. One narrator for alllll the female characters made it cumbersome to keep track of what was going on and muddled the plot line. The book had an incredible slow build and the "twist" was predictable.
1.5 stars
Hmm, well. This was a very meh 2 star for most of it, until the third act just quashed any potential it had left. Astonishingly un-unique with decent prose that couldn’t make up for the lack of, anything else. If all felt supremely artificial and contrived, with nothing interesting or new to say, sticking closely to genre conventions and not delivering on the affect they’re intended to produce.
As I said, though, I actually quite enjoyed her writing style, so I may try her next book and hope this was just a lackluster debut.

A solid domestic thriller situation. Easy enough read, nothing mind-blowing but still good. 3.5
One twist I was suspicious of but didn't guess entirely. The 2nd one, didn't even cross my mind!! I will say I had a hard time keeping them separated though. I listened to the audio book and with only slight inflections to differentiate, it was a little difficult.
