I was curious for Holt's story since the beginning of this series, as he is the one guy in the loft that we didn't really get all the much info on, and we knew he was in the background with a girlfriend that the guys didn't know about.
I enjoyed Holt and Harmony's story, but it wasn't my favourite from this series. Holt was very determined to get to know Harmony, and in real life it probably would've been too over the top, but it worked well for this story.
There's a lot of banter and snark between our two main characters, but again it seems to work for them. I also liked Priya, Harmony's best friend. I'd be interested in reading a book about her some day too.
There were a few turns I wasn't expecting in this book, but overall it flowed nicely and there was no huge angsty point in the novel. I enjoyed that, because in the other books of this series, there is a huge gap for our couples. This is a great world, in which Meghan Quinn has created some great characters and stories.
An enjoyable read, would recommend.

THE STEAM IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!
- It's so funny that the author made fun of her own writing in the story by referencing The Locker Room

I liked Holt and Harmony. It’s a quick and easy read.
2 things bugged me, the author self inserted herself as a hallmark movie character and they referenced the Big Bang theory. Things like that COMPLETELY take me out of books.

The newest addition to the Brentwood Baseball #Towelbrigade I love how Meghan keeps building out this world and how the men just keep getting more swoon worthy! This book can also be read as a standalone for sure!
There was a part of me that didn't want to like Holt because boyyyyy was he cocky, but he was also really genuine and caring under all that smooth talking, so I understand why Harmony had a hard-time resisting him. Watching Harmony struggle to let Holt in, I just wanted to hug him! Harmony was a motivated and independent woman, I loved getting to know her too.
I do sometimes struggle with college-setting books, because sometimes it can be hard to remember the characters are 21/22 at oldest. I'm sure this is nightmare to write- you want them to be young and carefree, but also relatable to a broader audience, so they have to have some sense of maturity beyond their years. That's the case in this book and Holt and Harmony deal with some real stuff, which I know can be true to real life, but also to quote an anonymous booksta friend "UGH THEY ARE IN COLLEGE JUST LET THEM LIVE!" The direction the storyline went didn't change my enjoyment of the book, I honestly really still loved it, but I appreciated this fresh perspective. Sometimes I wonder if I skate over troublesome parts of books just to get to that HEA. A growing edge perhaps?
This is also by far the steamiest of the Brentwood baseball books, it earns a moderate to heavy steam rating from me (but we know I'm here for that). Overall, I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐!

I really struggle with boundaries being crossed in the first part of this book so decided not to continue.
Why does the story need to include the story of a female saying you're stalking me/behaving inappropriately but the guy thinking she likes him so keeps pursuing? He just keeps hanging around and following her on her day off and touching her. It's not necessary and it just makes me dislike him. What because he's supposedly very attractive this is somehow ok?
It's not ok for a guy to be this pushy in any circumstance. I usually love meghan quinn books, but this one is a no from me.

Fun sports romance. I didn't love it as much as some of the others in the series but I did enjoy seeing some of the other characters before their romances began. Meghan Quinn seemed to poke fun at what some readers may have complained about in her resolution of previous stories in the series and I thought that was fabulous. I always enjoy her humor and her characters. I will continue to read this series as long as she writes it.
