The writing is weird and the fmcs reactions don’t make sense. The story should be a lot more pulled out.

This is a very dark thriller read that isn’t for the faint of hearts. This is Elijah and Rain story and it is dark. There is TW that should be read before reading this story. This story had me hooked and it is a taboo read as these two are step siblings and Elijah was promised Rain when he had done what his cult had requested and Rains dad refused to hard her over. Their journey thru the darkness of their relationship.

This is my first read from this author, and I was not disappointed!!

Elijah & Rain are unhinged dark soul mates, and I'm totally here for it!

Cult, suspense, graphic unalivings, de@th of a parent, blo0d, $mut, degradation, and more! CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS!

I look forward to reading more from Kinsley!

At first read the trigger warnings before starting this book.
This book was gifted as an arc to me in exchange for an honest review.

The book started with a girl named Rain she is living with her mom and doesn´t know her biological dad. She works at a restaurant.
On her birthday she is kidnapped by a boy named Elijah and brought to a really dark place. The people in that place are a cult.

Im not gonna tell too much because im not going to spoil the book. This was something new to me. In the first few chapters i was like: what am i reading and i was close to drop this book because i had the feeling this was not going to be for me. But somehow i was drawn to the book and i wanted to continue.
And im glad i did! i really loved the relationship between Rain en Elijah!

There are some points that could've been better in my opinion. I wish we knew more of Maxton and his background and also from the mother of Elijah. I missed some background and information about the cult too. I feel like we don't know enough.
The spice was very hot in this book!

I really loved it and i am very thankfull to be a reviewer of this book.

Little Bat may be my favorite nickname to date… Elijah the dark, possessive man who thrives on delivering his own version of justice and punishment as he sees fit. Finding his counterpart is probably unexpected and acceptance even more so. This book was fantastic and the characters were written beautifully! I cannot wait until the sequel! I only wish being an adult didn’t make it take longer to finish.

This book is for anyone who has ever watched American Horror Story, looked at Tate Langdon, and wondered what it would be like to tap that!

Haunted by the Devil is an unhinged romance with touch her and die, who did this to you, and all the other protective MMC tropes. There’s blood, smut, murder, revenge, major daddy issues, and cult behavior. It is a quick and fun read. If you imagined it be unhinged, think more unhinged and that’s how unhinged Elijah is.

It’s giving Joker and Harley vibes, partners in crime! The smut?….HOT. I loved the progression of the story, there was never a dull moment. The characters were interesting and I loved all of the descriptive writing.

This is my first time reading from Kinsley, however, it definitely won’t be my last. Thank you Kinsley Kincaid for a copy of Haunted by the Devil in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

I was thrilled to receive a copy of this book as an ARC from the author!

How do you feel about fucking over the corpses of your enemies with your stepbrother?

Not a fan? then this book ain't for you boo boo.

Rain and Elijah are top-tier. Red flags? NAH. Just a stepbrother obsessing over and falling for his stepsister. This book was crazy I could not put it down. It was like the words effortlessly flew on the page allowing readers to get trapped in the erotic horrors of the cult world. When they say morally grey MMC. Elijah is who they're eluding to. Mans loves his bats. The physical kind and his little bat. Rain is a strong woman who finds her path in the world he has shown her. on a real note. you look at her or touch her and you die.

Tropes:
-Psychopath / obsessed MMC
-Stepsiblings
-Cult
-Demon worship
-Blood play and rituals
-Erotic horror
-Kinky
-Torturing and dismemberment
-Matching Tats

PLEASE REVIEW FULL TWs and CWs ON AUTHORS INSTAGRAM PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. THIS WAS WILD.

Spicy:
-Fucking over dead corpses

Kinsley always knows how to deliver when it comes to horror. I've really enjoyed watching her writing style grow and change. Although short it was packed with a past and story that felt new and exciting! Very disgusting, like NASTY in more ways than one. But very interesting and had me turning pages to get more!

Although slightly insufferable I actually enjoyed reading from both of the characters point of views, how they were two completely different people yet ended up together. This story is nothing short of dark and disturbing yet the author does an amazing job making the reader root for the characters regardless of their actions.
