If this is how these two authors write together I cannot wait to read them separately. This book was like the perfect dessert that everyone wants the recipe for. It had just enough romance, humor, angst, steam, and some kick butt characters. I can’t wait for these two authors to write another book together!

Tate was an amazing kick-ass female character, she was taking no one’s bull shit. She is a top lawyer, she works for a hard butt boss, she doesn’t put up with men’s crap, all while wearing amazing shoes. I enjoyed how she immediately upon moving to a new town found out what friends were closest and set up a dinner. Not only that she tried to make the office secretary/assistant her friend too. That shows compassion and warmth underneath that hard exterior. I liked watching how she interacted not only Decker but his brothers and didn’t take their crap. I can never say this enough I love it when any kind of romance novel has a strong female protagonist, this book did it so well.

Decker obviously has to come off like a turd in the beginning of the book, but as we all know that’s not his whole story. I LOVED watching his inner battle with himself about not sleeping with coworkers. I really, really enjoyed the fact that he and Tate kept trying to one up each other, it made him more human and not such an asshole. I can’t spoil the book but he obviously has a secret he is keeping from Tate. I kind of would’ve loved to have seen more dynamic with his brothers although if this is going to be a series (pretty please) I’m sure we will see more of that. I so enjoyed seeing the secret side of his life

Too short

I LOVED this! The change in Decker was so smooth, that I was so well received. I loved the way Decker fell in love with Tate. This was the perfect read.

This book is a must read!! Fabulous characters, a storyline that anything but superficial and emotions that had me laughing out loud and ready to strangle the characters. Decker truly lives up his "cocky" persona, so much that there were a few times I wanted to slap him upside his head. Then add in sassy Tate who from the instant they met throws him one curve ball after another. Their hate/love give and take is epic and the end results you just have to read.

I thoroughly enjoyed Cocky Playboy by Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf. I found the banter between both main characters to be entertaining and the slow burn to their explosion felt realistic and relatable. I respect how he guarded his secret and think that many would do the same in a similar situation.

As a fashion designer at heart, I appreciated the research done by the authors to accurately describe the outfits of the characters. It helped visualize the scenes extremely well. Although it may gripe many, I believe Tate's character was realistically portrayed. In this day and age, women still struggle to be taken seriously and not spoken down to. I admire how well these authors portrayed her and how strong she was.
This book is for the lovers of a slow burn but a happy ending. Reading about the brothers in this serious has my interest peaked, I can't wait to see how mighty the fall will be.

Cocky Player is the the first book in this new series by Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf. Decker’s Law form is merging with the Law firm Tate works at and sparks fly from the first bump. The story was fun and hot as hell. Can’t wait for the next one!!

I really enjoyed this book, I found this on kindle unlimited and thought it sounded like something I would enjoy, and I was totally right I loved it.

I really enjoyed the characters and storyline , it threw me a twist that I had a feeling was coming but didn’t know for sure which made me fall in love with this book even more.

I loved the main characters In this book, Tates character is sassy, smart and she doesn’t take any of Deckers shit which I loved about her , in fact she doesn’t put up with anyone’s shit. Decker is also a character I enjoyed I’m not going to go into to much detail but I loved his back story and he made my heart totally swoon!!

I really enjoyed the steamy side of the romance in this story , in fact I the whole story , all the characters and the plot. I really enjoyed reading from these authors and have to say it won’t be the last book I read by them .

My rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked it.

This was a quick, easy read for me. It wasn’t everything that I look for in a book and it was a bit irritating in some places but I will be reading more by this author duo when I just want something quick.

I thought this was a good first story. Its not exactly the boss work place relationship I was looking for but I did enjoy reading this. Its not going to be amazing; its a workplace romance what do you want?! Its just a nice romance I enjoyed it.
