Very interesting book. I will most likely go back and read some of his other work. The author is well-versed in many areas and makes some compelling arguments. However, there is much to make you go "Wha?". Still it was a fun read and I would recommend it.

Brain expanding meme.jpg the book.

This book is about thinking. Thinking about thinking. Thinking about your thinking. Thinking that maybe the book is or is not true.

This book is a crash course in outdated psychology models, but serves as an excellent jumping off point. It pushes the reader to not be satisifed. It pushes to reader to accept their own limited cognitive view and want something more.

In that Prometheus Rising greatly suceeds. I cant fault it for incomplete or outdated information. The book repeatedly warns you that you shouldnt necessarily trust waht you're reading. Dont be so eager to draw conclusions.

The thinker thinks , the prover proves.

Prometheus Rising focuses on the different elements of the brain, different types of thinking and compares them through the lens of an ubmer of psytchological theories. A number of htem laughably out of date. But this doesnt really matter. The broad strokes of the content and the challenging perspective serve as a cleanser for the reader.

Each chapter has exercises which i found to be an awesome addition and incredibly useful. Challenge your self, your mental image, your way of thinking, your reality tunnel. This is incredibly powerful.

RAW sprinkles the book with enough cartoons, humor to keep it realtively smooth sailing. I saw it as compelling from start to finish.

Prometheus Rising sure gave me a lot think about - that was the point.

Beneath all the pseudoscience, outdated psychology, dogmatic mysticism, hypocrisy, and misogyny there are elements of truth to this book. The confused author was clearly trying to communicate something that he himself was not intellectually advanced enough to understand so it unfortunately got buried under lots of bullshit because Wilson's "reality tunnel" isn't quite as illuminated as he thinks it is. At least he's pretty good at messing with the common person's reality tunnels. Many of the exercises are good, and though most of them are stuff I thought about as a kid I think it would be helpful for most humans to practice the exercises at the end of every chapter for the sake of their mental growth to get themselves out of primitive patterns of thinking.

I couldn't finish it. The psychology is outdated, and the causal misogyny make this book a relic.

I can see how important this book was at one time. If you have time for history- go for it.

This was a fun read suggested by a friend. You do need some prior knowledge on some of the topics he touches on in order to fully get his references. Robert has a tendency for intuitive spitballing, which I personally enjoy, but might be too irritating or 'woo-woo' for sensor / circuit 3 types. Docked a star because he fatigued me on his constant hall of costs reality tunneling.

if you are paying attention, this book will change the way you think. other than Wilson's occasional anti-Feminism joke, this book is mind-blowing.

I adore this book. Though the writing might be a little out dated and silly, the ideas are profound. I absolutely believe in the concepts that Wilson has described here, particularly the idea of synchronicity. I recommend this book for everyone.

Love chaos magick, hated this, moreso I liked it at the start but after progressing more and more it just turned awful. There are really no truths to be found. The exercises are maybe the best part of the book.
