It's official, if you enjoyed the original series, you will love this iteration. Book #2 is actually better than the first with more action, intrigue, and suspense. It's a shame these never caught on as movies.

This was definitely my least favourite book in this universe. The beginning was very slow and too political-focused, which is not the reason I read these books. I want ACTION. The Fugitive Six . Everything felt boring and convoluted, and the plot jumped all over the place. Hopefully the next one picks up.

breaking up and joining the two different sides is not what I want at all (found family must stay together no matter what!)laurenbachman7's review against another edition

My review for this book stands similarly to that of Generation One. It's not a bad book, just not as good as I found Lorien Legacies to be. This one in particular had a lot of POV changes and some confusing plot twists, especially near the end, that I found difficult to keep track of. Still doesn't feel like the same writing style as Lorien Legacies for some reason. Not bad, not great overall. I'm still looking forward to reading the final book to wrap up the adventures of the Garde.

Very high-tension, a fast-paced book full of twists and plot turns that you would not expect. It was a delightful read, and I struggled to put it down—well-written and occasionally funny read.

Truly I am surprised at how many books set in this universe have been cranked out... and I've enjoyed them all. This book is action-packed like the other Lorien Legacies / Lorien Legacies Reborn books, although it was surprisingly slow at some points. I wouldn't necessarily say it was boring, but it did take me a lot longer to finish Fugitive Six than it has for me to finish the other books in this series.
The strong point of Fugitive Six is the characters. Everyone has their own unique personality, which is impressive considering how many characters there are. At some points I was overwhelmed with the amount of characters and wanted to hear more from certain characters' POVs, but overall, I was impressed with the diversity that the earlier books in Lorien Legacies lacked. I was also surprised at different approach to tone; there's definitely moral grayness, especially towards the end. That's not a bad thing, but it is different from the more straightforward morals in the other books.
Fugitive Six ends with a lot going on, so I'm excited to see how it will all wrap up in the last book.

3.5 stars. Some of it was a bit of a drag, but I'm interested in this new story and with how it ended.

Would give it a 3.5 if I could. I like all of the crew. I love the little secret Garde group with their basement hideout and that Nine continues to be an excellent mentor for them. The cameos from Six, Sam and John are super fun. It’s just a bit slow in getting each of the six main characters into their respective spots for the book to actually take off. Once it’s done though, it’s really good. Everyone seems to have their individual struggles and circumstances really shape their allegiances and world view that makes the Switzerland outcome feel moooooostly believable. When their stories do converge on the Swiss plot it really does pay off. And adding the Nine v. Five banter at the end is just great. I do hope the final book takes all of this set up and runs with it though. Make it a spectacle.
