I have been reading up a storm over the past few days!!! i loved the concept of this book slightly more than I liked the execution. this is basically a book about a girl named Molly who, whenever she bleeds, a clone of hers forms and the clone tried to kill her. that's so intriguing!!!!!! i really liked molly's character and her relationship with her parents and I like how you learn about mollys world by her own curiosity. however, (idk if this was just me being a bit dumb and maybe even reading too quick) but I felt like a lot of this book didn't explain itself well, I couldn't picture what was happening a lot of the time and I didn't understand a few vital points of the book when they were first explained if that makes sense, I liked the story but I feel like further editing would have made it easier to understand (or maybe that was me being silly and losing my reading comprehension) despite this, i loved it!! apparently there's a sequel but it doesn't have the best reviews (not bad but people seem to like the first one a lot better) and this also works as a stand alone so I'm not going to read the sequel
This book is amazing. So engaging, I read the whole thing in one go without even getting up from my chair!

Molly has been taught from a young age to kill other mollys. As she ages, she begins to research her origins. In a world where the fertility rate is falling, she is supposed to be the cute. This book was so interesting, I absolutely loved it. I would read multiple books set in this world.

A novella, a very short read. I wouldn't call it a body-horror kind of story, though there are elements of that, and it's a very visceral style of writing. I wasn't sure I was going to get through it because of the structure, and there's a certain amount of narrative distance that in the end makes sense when you understand Molly and how she's brought up to have a measure of clinical remove from her own life, but I was compelled to keep reading. Interesting if not necessarily my kind of read, but would recommend based on the writing and the concept.

This is the first novella in a trilogy about molly southbourne. Every time Molly bleeds, her blood spawns a clone who then attempts to kill Molly. This is gritty, gory, and violent, and it takes place as Molly is growing up and heading off to school. I accidently read this one second.
It is a hard book for me to give a rating on. I am glad I read it. It was well-written. I didn't find it deeply meaningful, and it asked more questions than it answered. BUT in the trilogy. It makes sense.
