Ik twijfelde enorm of ik dit boek nu rondom Halloween of rondom kerst moest lezen, maar eigenlijk is het gewoon voor de hele herfst leuk gezien de Halloween/kerst(/Yule)-vibes niet enorm aanwezig waren.
De eerste 30 à 40% vond ik het verhaal wat traag, maar zodra ze eenmaal terug gingen in de tijd zat ik er helemaal in.
Het is cute, helaas iets te insta-lovey naar mijn zin en toch niet zo goed qua spooky Halloween vibes als The Ex Hex was, maar ik heb me er zeker mee vermaakt.

Not as good as others but good easy reading
It might have been because I didn't read it around Christmas time that I found this book a bit lacking compared to the others. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, I thought Tamsyn was fantastic and she and Bowen were a cute couple, but I didn't follow the plot completely. It felt a little like the author had a bunch of tropes they wanted to get into the plot, but hadn't thought so much about the plot. Or it might just be me not understanding the magic. But I feel like it could have done with a little more explanation - it felt a bit like a fanfic to me, which isn't a bad thing, buying just felt it needed a little more.
