Carter Bosh is married to Beth and together they have a daughter named Ella but life wasn't an easy path and sometime love doesn't come easy.

Elizabeth Wells has never had good birthday's with so many things going wrong. She hopes she has found a guy she can be with named Duke but soon she learns he's not the right guy for her but fate leads her to meet Carter Bosh that night and maybe she has finally found her Mr. Right.

Yet life never works out and soon Elizabeth finds her life in turmoil once again when she is blamed for certain events and now her father is going to use her to profit himself.

Will Elizabeth find the courage to overcome everything in her way and find herself?

This is going to be a heck of a ride from the beginning book! My emotions were all over the place!

I thought Elizabeth was such a great character and once we learned about her past my heart broke for her as she had been through so much, especially on her various birthday's. I loved her relationship with James and how much he cared about her in comparison with her dad whom I hated.

I really liked Carter and thought he and his family were exactly what Elizabeth needed and they supported Elizabeth more than her own family. I was so sad with everything that happened to Carter and when he ended up going a little of the rails because of it all.

I understood at the end why Elizabeth was making the choice that she was but I am still really freaking out a little over what could happen.

The end left my jaw on the ground with what Carter may have learned and who it involves!!

Elizabeth and Carter are good characters and this story has a great story line. I am hanging for the next book in this series after that cliffhanger

PHENOMENONAL

As always, Dylan Allen delivers! She does not sell short of PHENOMENONAL. Page turning book that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Need book 2 RIGHT NOW!

This book! Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions! The prologue of this book anticipated an HEA, but the journey this author takes you on will make you want to pull your hair out, scream, and possibly even throw your Kindle.

Elisabeth is so so sheltered. Extremely naive and heartbreakingly forgiving. Most of the angst in this book is due to her family, not Carter. This girl desperately needed a best friend to help her out.

Carter is pretty damn perfect when it comes to him and Elisabeth. He has his own issues in life that steer him down different paths, but when it comes to him and "Beth" he's downright swoony.

This is one of those love stories that you want the HEA to SO BAD but it's a trilogy so you know there's more angst coming in the next 2 books. Thankfully they release relatively close to each other so we don't have to wait long!

This was disappointing. Whilst the author explored some poignant themes, and there was good chemistry between the characters, I felt like we spent too much time with the main characters apart and it was quite boring at times. I was sent a review copy of this, and there were lots of grammatical errors which made the book harder to read - hopefully these are rectified in the final copy. I was also disappointed that I would have to wait until book 3 in this series to get the happily ever after.

I have been waiting for this story for seems like forever and Dylan Allen did not disappoint!! I first met Carter and Liz through a novella audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast and ever since then I have been waiting to get their history. This is one emotional ride that I know ends with a happy ending but this beginning of the journey is HARD! Elizabeth has a father that is just evil and a mixed bag of family members that tested all of my emotions. I was instantly in love with Carter as soon as he entered the main story. No matter what his back story was he had my heart because the things that he had been through really connected to my heart. I cannot wait for the next part of their journey!! This is a three book series so there is a jaw dropping ending to this book.

This specific video review will be included in the October 2019 wrap-up.

She is bringing her A game.... and by that I mean ANGST! Dylan Allen was breaking my heart all through this book! From the very beginning when you hear about how Elisabeth hides herself because of how people treat her right up until the end when....... the cliffhanging bomb drops! (you thought I was going spoil it didn't ya) Carter is such a sensitive soul trapped in this shell that puts off so much animosity! And Beth is such a fighter.... fighting this overbearing father that she has so that she can keep true to herself. This book left me with a few things to ponder.... and now I will spend the next month going over the whole story in my head while I wait for the next part!!!

O.M.Geee! This poor girl... Gah.. Emotional rollercoaster. This really is a must read, has everything, steamy romance, hot broken guy... Oh ya. Now we need book 2 ! Like right now ... Can't sleep must read..
My review on Amazon:
This girl, Beth, how much more can she take? I want to just hug her ! This girl has no one rooting for her except her brother. Her brother is this angel that wants the world for her. She gets to the lows of lows and meets this incredible guy who just adores her to death. She finally sees the world differently and then bam. I'm not saying anymore, you have to read it!
