4,5/5

somewhere between 3.5 and 4 so I hit 4 stars. Mia is still immature for her age. in fact if it wasn't for the mentions of Michael and friends with babies and married- she might as well still have been 16. I can't help but think of this as a launch for Olivia's story because there wasn't a focus of Mia and Micheal's oncoming marriage as the title would have you believe. will I check out the continuation? probably. I kind of want to hear Olivia's story and have her be more than the cut-out character she seemed in the few pages she was in.

A great continuation to this series. Brought me back to my teens when I read these books and was a great way to finish the series. Mia is just as funny and chaotic as se was in the start of the series but has also grown in to a strong and almost confident young woman.

OMG Princess Diaries! I used to be obsessed with these books in my early teenage years and absolutely loved Mia and her life as a princess. I was obsessed with Michael, probably was a little in love with him. Silly though it may sound, I really did learn a lot from these books. So when I got my hands on the 11th Princess Diaries book, I was really looking forward to it. Honestly though I was let down. Maybe because I'm all grown up now and have absolutely nothing in common with Mia anymore who is a, for lack of a better word, full blown princess now and not the struggling stumbling mess she was as a teenager that I so identified with and loved. Or maybe I've just become too much of a cynic. Either way it did lose its charm. And Michael, who I was absolutely in love with, is just another guy, nothing special. The book just left me feeling dissatisfied. Maybe I am becoming too much of a cynic.

Cliche and trope-y. Only about a step up from YA. I was hoping it'd be just as great as I remembered the ones I read before (just the first three). It's been awhile since I've read them, though. I don't remember hating Mia, but gosh she is awful and unlikable. It was a nice little nostalgia trip but ultimately just okay.

Cute and pure fluff, like all of Meg Cabot. That's not an insult or complaint at all - I love her stuff! Nice moving of the Princess Diaries series into adulthood (though this is still pretty PG). Some plot lines were a little convenient, but still really liked this.

I'M STILL CRYING THIS WAS PERFECTION!!!!!!!!

(LILY AND LARS????? YES!!!!!! I WANT A BOOK ABOUT THAT.)

This was pretty good until that plot twist about 75% of the way through. And we didn't actually see the wedding. :(

I could predict every single plot twist pages before they happened. Fortunately this mostly didn't detract from the good nostalgic fun. A solid 2.5 stars.

This book is the epilogue to end all epilogue. I read and reread this entire series and loved it just as much as I need the first time. When I thought book ten was the end I was completely happy with that until I found out she wrote this book. Mia is the adult version of the person we fell in love with and rooted for. This book leaves the series open for the spin-off while giving us the ending we didn't know we needed.
