Somewhat inconsistent and featuring extra creepy sex scenes and references, this also has moments of pure truth and beauty. Really loved so much of this.

DNF at 33%.

Whatever comes to your mind when you're thinking about the stereotypical lived experience and perceptions of wealthy cisgender heterosexual white men, this book gives exactly that 👍🏽

You actually have to fight with your tenderness, your perceived weaknesses, your vulnerability, with love, with warmth... Absorb the contradiction with an open, loving, tender heart.

Some surface level stuff aside, I think this book is really well written and the use of Broadway as an allegory of “living in the moment” even when life doesn’t turn out the way you expected them to, is kind of beautiful. I feel like I took a lot of great conversions out of this book and most of the time was so captivated by the characters chaotic journey to self acceptance. I hate Ethan for being so talented.
