The first 2/3 of Half Wild was ehhhh but the last third was AMAZING.
I love Nathan, the constantly-angry protagonist. And Gabriel, although he deserves more. I have no love lost for the extremely flat character of Annalise (I naturally dislike characters who have no clear motive or distinctive personality, but that is rarely their fault and more the fault of being underdeveloped.) Thankfully, the last bit of the book at least gave her something to do. Even if I'm not happy about it. To be completely honest, Annalise is the entire reason that I knocked a star off this book.
I'll conclude this by saying that you can tell Sally Green is a fairly new writer, but she's definitely improved with this second book. The world she has created is exciting and filled with (mostly) unique and impressive characters.

J'ai adoré ce second tome !
Il est vrai qu'au début j'étais un peu perdue, ne me souvenant pratiquement pas du premier tome, mais j'ai très vite repris mes marques pour mon plus grand plaisir.
J'ai adoré retrouver Nathan et Gabriel, et découvrir tout ces nouveaux personnages, le déroulement de l'histoire est étrange, l'auteur prend le soin d'accentuer certains passages, d'en accélérer d'autre, j'aime beaucoup son style d'écriture ! J'ai adoré l'avancement de la trame, et tout particulièrement la fin, je n'aurais jamais pensé que ça se passerait comme ça et j'ai énormément aimé !

DNF - not interested in the story line at all, once Gabe was found I was done, couldn’t care less about the girl - she was a flat character and yeah just kinda boring

Oh, perlomeno mi ha spiegato la facilità con cui Nathan è scappato dal quartier generale dei cacciatori al libro prima. Normalmente sarebbe stato attribuibile alla stupidità, qui almeno ci si prova, dai.
♠ E comunque siamo in parità perché io avevo semi azzeccato lo sviluppo con Annalise. Non li tradisce ma è scema quindi va bene uguale. Mi aspettavo quella scena e l'avevo immaginata molto più tragica ma in realtà sbagliavo perché c'erano tutti i segni per farmi capire che sarebbe stata una scena ridicola. Voglio dire, Nathan le ha ammazzato il fratello maggiore, - ha fatto bene e siamo tutti dalla sua parte – ed è disposto ad ammazzargliene un altro – farebbe bene e saremmo tutti dalla sua parte – ma invece accetta di farlo prigioniero sbolognandolo a Celia. Lei gli fa promettere che non lo uccideranno come se lui avesse qualche potere decisionale e non fosse una semplice pedina. Quando non succede lei si arrabbia. Ora, sono i suoi fratelli e la capiamo, però tu te ne sei scappata da quella vita, hai cercato Nathan per stare con lui, hai accettato di far parte dell'alleanza e sapevi benissimo, fin dall'inizio, qual'era lo scopo di tutto e che dall'altra parte c'è la tua famiglia. Hai detto che ti sembrava un ottima idea. Dove pensavi di andare? A giochi senza frontiere? Tanto più che sai cosa gli hanno fatto i tuoi fratelli, hai visto la foto del suo corpo sfregiato. La tua famiglia ti avrebbe tenuta rinchiusa per tutta la vita e sei scappata. E ora non ti sta più bene? Ora che tuo fratello è stato catturato? Ora te la prendi con Nathan. Ora è sbagliato perchè Nathan è stato catturato, torturato, tenuto in gabbia, picchiato, sfregiato a vita ma se vuole vendicarsi uccidendo quelli che li odiano e li torturano e li massacrano allora non può e non deve perchè deve essere buono – anche se non ha senso che lo sia – puro e gentile per meritarsi il suo affetto, ma vai a cagare. Cazzo sei, cattolica?
♠ Val miglior personaggio del libro. Poi c'è Nesbitt. Nathan è sceso di qualche gradino perché continua ad ammorbarci con i pensieri su Annalise, che ok lo capisco, lui la ama ed è ossessionato dal pensiero di salvarla ma ogni due o tre capitoli c'è lui che pensa a lei per le motivazioni più random e ci sono quelle quattro o cinque sviolinate su quanto gli manca, su quanto lei fosse dolce e coccolosa (eeeeh) ed è tutto un costante paragonarla a Gabriel. È un continuo ripeterci che lui lo ama non ricambiato perché Nathan ama Annalise, sempre così in loop, come a volerci proprio ricordare continuamente che tra loro due non ci sarà mai niente. Abbiamo capito. Però almeno devo dargli atto che non è un completo scemo e quindi quando lei si arrabbia con lui, lui si arrabbia con lei e rimane sulle sue posizioni perchè ha ragione.
Comunque, se nel prossimo salta fuori che Annalise è incinta, faccio causa alla Green, alla Penguin e alla Rizzoli. Sbrocco in una maniera indecente.

OH MY GOD WHAAAAAT?!?
Okay so the first 200 pages of this book had me bored as shit (except gabby ma bae) and kinda pissed off to be honest but HOLY WOW AFTER THAT IT JUST TURNED INTO THIS WHIRLWIND OF BRILLIANCE??
Let's begin with the positives:
1. GABRIEL FML honestly he's such a beautiful character and he's so supportive and he accepts Nathan for all that he is and he deserves to be happy and safe and ughhhh
2. Marcus and Nathan's relationship like I'm all for it?? Marcus makes me irrationally happy considering the fact that he's a murdering maniac (the best murdering maniac).
3. Nesbitt hahahhahh diffusing the tension since the start of time.
4. Arran I mean come on whatta cutie
5. Did I mention Gabriel?
6. Nathan when he's being a complete badass
7. CAN WE ALL AGREE THAT MARCUS LOWKEY SHIPS GAB AND NATHAN
Things I hated:
1. Annalise
2. Nathan acting like a wimp in front of Annalise
3. Nathan taking Gabriel for granted LIKE SOMEONE KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO HIM UGH
4. annalise
5. Annalise expecting Nathan to change for her like bitch no he's perf
6. The Alliance members being mean to Marcus *protective mode on*
But yeah the last hundred pages upgraded this book from a 2 star read to a 4 star read and I wasn't even remotely considering the idea of picking up the next book but I GUESS I HAVE TO I MEAN CLIFFHANGER WOW.
