Characters were developed, but I couldn’t connect to them, and I predicted the plot twist, honestly just kinda mid. I finished reading it today, and I forgot most of the middle of the book, and it’s a short book.

I actually got legit spooked in this one. Some stuff was weird and I admit to rolling my eyes a time or two but it was fun.

I'm disappointed. The characters fell flat, the plot was so predictable it was unpredictable, and the pacing meandered. It felt like a Diana Urban book but worse, because at least her characters feel like real people, the flashbacks in her books matter, and her books are actually entertaining.

The red herring in this book was a better twist than the actual twist.
I never suspected Dallas' sister. But for the love interest to be the culprit? It's just so tired. And the culprit from the 1970s was so obvious I felt insulted.

I wish I could’ve given this book a better rating, the story is so interesting and some of the plot twist had me on my seat. There’s just some parts that don’t make sense or don’t feel relevant at all. The flashbacks were kind of random and I wish they were more frequent. Also Zoe’s character felt like she only existed to move everyone else’s story which is disappointing because I really liked her character.

Also maybe this is picky but I liked Dallas so….
