I enjoyed this book. Good ending and it kept me wanting to read more. Though, It’s one of those books you read once and don’t read again which is why I didn’t give it a full five stars.

A really good whodunit! I've read Lisa Gardner for years, but I enjoyed this one more than the last couple in the DD Warren series. Excellent character development and then allowing the story to slowly have the pieces fall into place. I can usually figure out the plot pretty early in the story, but this one had some nice twists.
This was a nice surprise...

I figured out the mastermind of the kidnapping plot early on in this book. I also thought the romance between Wyatt and Tessa did not add to the book at all. However, there was still enough to keep me interested. I would have preferred that D.D. Warren play a larger role in the story.
This was the first Lisa Gardner book that I actually guessed the ending in the middle of the book. So disappointed that I was able to guess the plot to the book before it was over. It was still entertaining but not as suspenseful as her previous books I have read.
The Denbe family are a good family. They live a normal life. Justin and Libby Denbe return home from a night out to find their front door unlocked. Before they can comprehend what is happening, Justin and Libby are attacked. The last thing Libby sees before passing out from being tased is her daughter, Ashlyn screaming.
Tessa Leoni is now an investigator for Northledge Investigations. Denbe Construction hired Tessa’s company to investigate the kidnapping of the Denbe family. Tessa realizes that there has to be more to the story then just a normal kidnapping. What dark secrets are the Denbe family hiding?
It has been several books since I have read one from author, Lisa Gardner. So when I saw Touch&Go, I thought now is a good time to pick up this book. While, I would say there were no real secrets or twists, I still had a good time reading this book. It was a really, quick read. The only downfall I had with this book was that I found the detectives story as they tried to piece together the investigation to be boring some and it moved along slowly. In fact, after a while, I would skip some of these chapters and go straight to the ones involving the Denbe family. Libby Denbe turned out to be a person that I could connect with. She started out weak but as the story progressed, she got stronger. The ending went by quickly but was tied up nicely. I enjoyed how it ended. Touch&Go is a thrill ride that will have you passing the time away in a good way.

Touch & Go is a thriller without a lot of gratuitous violence, which I appreciated. When the entire Denbe family is kidnapped, Tessa Leoni is hired to privately investigate, and the book’s perspective shifts from hers to Libby Denbe’s as we learn more about the lives — and lies — lived within the walls of the Denbes’ five-million dollar Boston townhome.
Justin Denbe’s financials and those of his multi-million dollar company, Denbe construction, complicate matters for Leoni’s investigation, and of course she has her own baggage to carry through the story. Fans of suspense fiction and thrillers will really enjoy Touch & Go, and even savvy mystery readers will be able to appreciate the many layers Gardner expertly lays within her pages without tangling her main plot line into too many knots.

C'est long, long, long!
