The fourth in the series, this one adds little to the existing formula that wasn't achieved by the previous books. In general it was touching but failed to develop any of the recurring characters meaningfully and only lightly explored the time travellers. A lot of death regrets in this one, but it still tended towards the lightly heartstring pulling feeling of earlier books.

A sweet little book and a lovely way to end the year. Each installation in this series is like a warm hug after a good cry - sad but cathartic, and means you can move on better for it. I enjoyed the occasional shift to first person as it made the stories seem less repetitive. A good variety of characters, and the second story was my favourite!

I really enjoyed this new book in the series!! I loved the change in perspective in the chapters, going from third person to first person. That dog story made me cry of course. I liked that they used the alarm stirrer more in these stories. I can’t wait for the next one!!

This entire series is fantastic. I read all four books in about 21 days. Recommend for anyone who likes magical realism, or books that tug at your heart strings just a little, but aren't Nicholas Sparks / Kristin Hannah level.
