Great art. Misanthropic libertarian version of Batman, which makes sense, but there is a weird feeling throughout that the story endorses this version of Batman as an antihero more than it is an arm’s length study of a troubling character

Batman v. Superman is going to be loosely based on this. I was a little on edge about that movie before, but now seeing as this is the way they'll introduce Batman... perfect. With the way it's done here, I don't think we're going to feel like the film is a stale reboot of Batman or that we're not getting enough origin story. It's an origin story without having an origin story. I can't wait for this movie now. Definitely one of the better comics I've read.

I despise superheroes in general and will not watch any Marvel/DC movies at all, but I genuinely loved this. It's so different from what I always assumed graphic novels were like, and the panels of talking heads bickering on the news are genuinely timeless. Honestly cannot believe a 29-year-old wrote this considering the wisdom cheekily woven into a story that on the surface is just about a superhero past his prime.
