This is the best book in the series by far, but the whole series is amazing, and it's adult ficiton. Meg Cabot really has a knack for writing both teen fiction and adult fiction.

Books 2 and 3 of this series are awful. Only ready them cause of the first book.

Lizzie Nichols is finally getting married. She is ecstatic that the man of her dreams has proposed and that her living situation, as well as her career, finally are going in the right direction. However, when it comes to starting to plan her own wedding she seems to have little time while helping others prepare for their big days. Things get complicated when Luke needs to spend the summer in Paris and the owners of the shop she is working at are unable to continue to work because of a medical condition. As things begin to slowly start turning badly for Lizzie she must rethink her plans and her priorities and find what will truly make her happy.

I gave this one 3.5 stars. I liked the whole series overall as a light summer read when I needed a romantic comedy. One complaint I have is that the author seemed to change the character of Luke too drastically from the first book to the third book seems completely different. Almost too drastic of a change. I will probably take a break from Meg Cabot for a while. This is the third series I have read of hers and I feel I might need to broaden my horizons.

A great end to the series. Lizzie grows a lot in this novel, which is refreshing, making it some good chick-lit with heart & brains. Her relationship with Luke follows a realistic path, full of the "ties that bind" even in unhappy relationships.

Though, to be honest, I think it's a little unfair to not get a wedding in the end. Lizzie finally realizes that she was more in love with "the idea" of her perfect knight-in-shining-armor/instant groom, and so it does make sense that she is willing to compromise her wedding ideals for the man she truly loves. And Chaz is also somewhat willing to be enticed into the idea of marriage, his own slight compromise for the woman he truly loves. But, really. This woman wrote her dissertation on fashion and a follow-up guide on wedding gown designs (in book 2). I think it's a tad unrealistic to think she will willingly give up ALL of that - most especially The Dress (although perhaps arguably she gets to live vicariously through each dress she creates?). So, I think it would have been a tad more true to form if she compromised on the big wedding, etc. but still wanted the dress and maybe even a small vintage ring.

But overall, her realization of her relationship with Luke and her own ideas of love & marriage come about in very realistic ways. I will miss not having any further readings on dear Lizzie Nichols and will have to indulge instead in rerun episodes of Say Yes to the Dress.

I needed an audiobook while walking the dog. Should have just kept listening to Hamilton.

I rated this one higher than the other two, because by the end, Lizzie really grew on me. I'm glad I didn't give up the series (I almost did after the first book). I like that Lizzie was more mature and independent by the end because her ditziness was what really got to me in the first novel. She finally grew a pair and did some things worthy of the Bad Girl Scale. :) Overall good, light chick lit.

Fun easy read, just the kind of book you need sometimes.

As things are finally looking up for Lizzie in the career department, her personal life seems to be crashing and burning. After spending New Year's Eve making out with her best friend's ex, Lizzie is proposed to by her ex, Luke. As things get more and more complicated, Lizzie's big mouth can only make things worse than they are right now.

I had to spoil this book for myself so that I could finish this book. The second and third book of this series completely negates what happens in the first book, kinda like what the [b:A Court of Thorns and Roses|16096824|A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)|Sarah J. Maas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546406962l/16096824._SY75_.jpg|21905102] series did.
I do like that Lizzie and Chaz got together, but the way it was done wasn't the best.

There were a lot of things that were clearly added just to propel the plot, but in non-realistic ways. A lot of the things in this book was unusual and unrealistic.

There were some parts of the book that I thought did not like. Some bits were cringy, some bits were okay, and some bits were good. I honestly could've done without reading the last two books of this trilogy.
