OK holy shit the art style is SO COOL, the use of colour (or lack thereof) makes for some really breathtaking panels

I really like the limited use of color and the style in general. The story was just so-so. I like the idea of an apprentice and Matt working for the DA, but Tenfingers was a pretty silly villian. Not enough here to get me to tune in again.

This was the first Daredevil comic I had read, and I was really impressed. The art style was gritty, the action interesting, and the main villain creepy.

I particularly enjoyed Daredevil's protege "Blindspot," an undocumented Chinese immigrant who is fighting to help his neighborhood, filled with people unable to go to the police.

If there was one weakness of the volume it is that it continued to reference to an event that happened before the story started, which I always find annoying.

"That's the best part. This job never ends" appears over an image of distraught families. Not well done. Nor is the inclination that Murdock likes the job because it doesn't end. The art is fantastic. Ten fingers could've been better if he was fleshed out more and not made a stepping stone for a bigger villain.

I forgot how much I enjoy Daredevil in his black costume.

This is the second read-through for me, and I'm always surprised how much I enjoy it. Matt's character is solid. He's still making questionable choices. The plot flows amazingly well. And the art is beautiful.

I found that I have a soft spot for Blindspot (see what I did there?). He's a hero of millennials, of the tired, of the undocumented immigrants, of the poor. Really, he made this story.

Overall an enjoyable read if you are a Daredevil fan.

The artwork is phenomenal in this one. Almost every page is frame-able. Story was good and i like the new sidekick (“apprentice” as he likes to be called) but the villain was meh.

3.5*. Love the artwork. Probably the best use of contemporary socio-political issues in a recent Marvel series - most often, it's clunky and a bit shallow. This one has a nicely done element about illegal immigration, sense of self and place. I enjoyed it. Not too keen on Tenfingers - too much of a cartoon villain, but at least not written as badly as the last four or five Captain America books (which were all mostly dire). I'll be back for volume two.

Also - a nice new direction after Mark Waid's excellent run. (Although, even that one hit some road bumps towards the end, blending the excellent human story with silly villains.)
