This was a very well written book. I immediately picked up the second one because I had to see what happened!

Clockwork Angel was clever, enchanting,and chock full of dynamic, beautiful characters who drove the story to its incredible ending. I can't wait for a sequel! The writing was so incredible it was like an art form.
I also have to say I love the relationships between Will, Jem, and Tessa. I know a lot of people don't really care for "love triangles", but this book isn't really centered around that. It is more about the Shadowhunters, finding Tessa's brother, and revealing the mysterious secrets that literally swirl around all of the characters.
It is fascinating how many parallels and differences there are between Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices. While there are about the same number of boy and girl characters in each, there are completely different relationships and conflicts going on in the books. I read somewhere that there is a reason for the similarities between the two names of the main heroines Clarissa Fray and Theresa Gray to be revealed in later books and I CANNOT wait to find out why!!!
I am also super excited to find out what Will's secret is!!!
And one more thing- I really love the setting Cassandra Clare chose for this story! It is pure genius. I love the clothing, steampunk elements of this story, the 1800s, the manners, the way of speaking, and even the way that the setting helps dictate some major conflicts in the novels! Cannot wait for Clockwork Prince- I recommend this to like everyone I know!

Everyone likes to think of The Infernal Devices as their favorite Cassandra Clare series, but for me this has always been the weakest quite frankly. While I still love the world and the time, I think this is the weakest novel I've read from her.
I still had enough love for Jem, Charlotte, and Henry to give this 4 stars anyway and after my third time reading this I stand by that rating but there were some flaws

I have no background to Cassandra Clare's books, for I have yet to read the mortal intruments series. I thought this was a good point to start. I was a little confused since I haven't read the previous series, but I still enjoyed this book.
I liked the way it was written, and I never really got bored during it. However, parts of the book were too slow for me. The characters were interesting, and I enjoyed the overall premise of this book.

I really really loved this book. My only problem were some historical inaccuracies/the way they talked sometimes, but both of those things are understandable.
I loved the characters and the plot and the pacing and everything really. I loved this a lot more than any books in the Mortal Instruments series. I'm excited to continue this trilogy.
