Definitely a good read on the subject, you can watch the TED Talk as well but the book takes the description of the concern more in depth, obviously.

This is one of those books that I’ll probably be recommending to people for a long time. This is not because I support much of what Hari puts forth as solutions to the woes of mental illness in our society, which are nice but tend to leave more to be desired. I recommend it instead because of the way that he frames the conversation of what depression and anxiety is and where their origins likely lie. This book feels really important. Read it, and then talk about it with the loved ones around you.

This was an incredible book with some incredible insights. It does not seek to deny biological causes of depression. Rather, it points out that biological causes are in the minority and that there is a lot we can do socially to address depression.
