I ship. I completely, totally ship.
Also, besides that, I have to admit I found Mr Bennet insufferable and disrespectful (almost misogynistic) at the beginning, and I still kind of do a little. But I guess as the book went on and
I see why people think that Austen’s language can be a bit inaccessible. Some sentences can be confusing and convoluted (but you should really read Victor Hugo). I thought so too when I first started reading it, but as I read more and more, I could understand it more easily, and I dare say that I understood most of it by the end. So I do encourage you to give it a go, and persist at it. If you take a few seconds (or minutes) to reread the sentences or paragraphs, you might find that you are able to decipher the meaning. It is convoluted, but not impossible to understand.
Here’s a translation (by my understanding) of two words used rather often which are used differently to their conventional usage now (all forms/types of the word apply):
Want: lack
Chuse: choose
Uncontrouled: uncontrolled
Shew: show
Minor: Body shaming, Incest, and Adult/minor relationship

Half a star deduction for the ending and the slow start when I read this I was rather bored because of it but later when the famous scene between Darcy and Lizzie happened I was always on the edge of my seat.
Even though this book has romance in it it's first and foremost commentary on 1810 England's class society and wealth where romance and marriage are just a stage for it.
Minor: Adult/minor relationship
By the end of the book Wickham and Lydia are married but they have a whopping 12 years age difference with Wickham being 27 and Lydia 16. Austen shows through other family member's reactions (except Mrs. Bennet) that this marriage is unwanted and disliked but that could mostly be put on the fact that Wickham is a crook, not because of their huge age difference. It's mostly up to the reader does the family's dislike of the pairing have something to do with the age gap also.njthk's review against another edition

And cute.
I think this is the og "enemies-to-lovers-trope" Story with a whole lot of pining.
On the downside, I expected to see more interaction between Darcy and Elizabeth and less of the 103949 sub Plots.
I didnt expect the Narrator to be omniscient and so fast in switching the characters they are currently describing. Was sometimes kinda disorienting.
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship
