I feel like this volume is the pinnacle of the series because the conflict is deep and really calls into question Kamala's character. What does she prioritize and what should she prioritize as a hero? Will she go against her morals and everything she's worked for? Will she do what's best? How she deals with all of this really makes the comic the best (or at least my favorite) in the series.

This is also tagged "relatable-to-me" because I experienced the whole last issue (except all the superhero-y stuff) this past summer when I went to Nigeria and saw all my family there. It really is interesting how second generation immigrant kids are a part of both cultures, where their parents are from and where they are now, (in Kamala's case Pakistani and American) but also feel like they (we) are not a part of either.

I never really thought about Kamala Khan. I knew she existed, and was in the same general area as Spider Man but didn't really think of her as someone I wanted to read more about. But this series really surprised me. She has to make some tough decisions, has to face some consequences. I think I might be checking out some more of her stuff in the future.

I know I feel this way every time, but this was the best Ms. Marvel yet! Deals with issues of profiling, the justice system, and the trade off between orderliness and authoritarianness that all of us, superheroes especially, must negotiate in modern life. Also loves the issue where she gets to go to Pakistan!

I can never keep track of the huge Marvel story arcs -- I guess Civil War II is a thing -- but this volume works fine as a stand-alone story within the larger arc. There were a couple of things I didn't get but I was never totally lost. And I always love Kamala, and the action that takes place in Pakistan makes up for any other blah spots.

wow, this one was super emotional and I didn’t expect for the story to go the way it did, but that only makes me even more excited to see how (or even if) this conflict gets resolved.

Ughhh I just love this title so much. Also, this volume does what Civil War tried to do and failed (IMO) in setting up a conflict that divides the Avengers and pits friends against each other. Also, super relevant to our current political climate, plus amazing backstory of Kamala's family's life in Pakistan (a country involved in a very real civil war), plus emotional resonance on all fronts? LOVE IT.

Poor Bruno. Felt like a timely read, with the focus on screening as crime prevention. I like how Kamala's growth involves a lot of forward and back, with good intentions not always getting the best result. It feels real and true.

I don't know why, but I was worried about this one. I mean, this series has been so great, and I was wondering when the ball would drop. But so far it hasn't. I'm not going to spoil, but damn a lot changes in this volume as opposed to all the others. Kamala has to make a lot of decisions based on external factors, and so far, I don't hate any of her choices. She's definitely growing in a positive direction but damn, I felt for her in this comic. A lot of hard decisions had to be made, at the expense of things she has loved. It was really serious but also really funny. This is a great series, and I hope it continues in that direction still.
