4 stars. This was one of the more interesting time travel stories I’ve read, though the existence of a timeless “Eternity” is implausible, as is the concept of “physiotime” as being separate from regular time. The time travel concepts were cool, though they inevitably got pretty gnarly in the second half of the book. The characters were well-conceived and well-developed. The conclusion was full of surprises, improving the experience.
Lo único que necesitáis saber de esta novela es que es una puta obra maestra.
Normally I don't like stories that deal with time travel because it can get a little messy. The only time I've ever really seen it work was in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Back to the Future, and Michael Crichton's Sphere. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. Isaac Asimov, being a scientist, does a pretty good job basing his works off of real science and theory. Sure, he had to tweak a few things, but he did it in a believable way. Lots of interesting concepts and terminology. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns and loved the ending.
medium-paced
Typical of other Asimov stories I've read. Interesting story but not much character development. Nice twist at the end.

A fun read. I find Asimov a good palate cleanser read between heavier books.
The End of Eternity comes off to me like a clever satire of the Science Fiction scene of the 30-50s, especially of the Campbell set.

Such an entertaining read! Time travel with a bit of a love story thrown in? Yes, please! I loved the well thought out vision of what mankind's future could be. The first quarter of the book was a little confusing, but as the story moved along, it began to make sense and I really enjoyed it!
I really loved this book, but will say that the initial concept of time travel was difficult at first to wrap my head around. I re-read the first 5 or 6 pages multiple times so that I could understand it and later found myself writing notes and drawing diagrams to help me comprehend further concepts. Still, I enjoyed the challenge and ultimately found the book to be very enjoyable. I've never read Asimov, but am glad I finally opened the portal...
This was my first Asimov novel (though I've read essays and short stories), so I wasn't completely sure what to expect. It is primarily a "thinker" so if you want a lot of action, look elsewhere. I'm a smart girl, so I enjoyed the circular reasoning in exploring time travel and its paradoxes and theories. However, it sometimes made even MY brain hurt, so I had to put it down more often than I would have liked. Although I can't flat out say it was BORING, I was pretty apathetic most of the time. I didn't even care that the main character fell in love or anything about their relationship - and that's the driving point for the book's main conflict! However, one little line on p. 190 (of 192) made me say, "Whoah!" and kept me from feeling like reading the book was a complete waste of time.
Mano! Asimov no seu melhor! Que livro fantástico.
