I unfortunately had to cut this rating down to a 2 star, I love Kathryoon Moon's writing I just had a harder time connecting to these characters compared to Sunny and Khell! Very hard to follow up to their story for me personally but I know this will scratch an itch for someone out there
"I'd rather we had you at your worst than not at all"
Absolutely delivers on everything I've come to expect from Kathryn Moon.
Beautiful discovery (or rediscovery) of self after trauma and confidence gained from loving support. Actually, my favorite line in the book happens during a conversation with the heroine and a side character, the leader of Hannah's support group. I also loved the freedom Hannah and Rafe found within each other- the confidence they each gained to ask for what they needed and assert new boundaries with other characters in their lives. Also love the way they were each given the space to explore their dominant and submissive sides... speaking of.... HOLY SPICY. It IS a Kathryn Moon book after all.
This book also has a bit of a thriller element, which I found pretty tame (until the very end)
Tropes/Tags:
Monster romance, gargoyle/werewolf romance, slight thriller elements, self (re)discovery, sex work, dominant/submissive exploration, pegging, hide and seek, chef

A musician on the brink of stardom has her life turned upside down when she is transformed into a werewolf without her permission . While the local police in her Monster community have mostly given up the search, she lives with the trauma of what happened and having to sequester herself every full moon to avoid hurting anyone else. Leading up to every full moon she gets super horny but usually spends the full moon alone since no sexual partner can keep up with her without getting seriously hurt. Until she hears about a service from the Monster Smash sex worker agency that will grant her the chance to find the release she craves with someone she can't hurt or break.
The book is Howl for the Gargoyle the second book in the Monster Smash Agency series by Kathryn Moon. These stories focus on a ragtag group of monsters who are sex workers in Chicago. If you're like me and you enjoy a story where you get to see the main characters live life together beyond the bedroom and you enjoy a FMC with grit and a himbo MMC then this is the story for you. I rated it a 7/10.
The FMC just wasn't my favourite and some of the world building towards the end of the story wasn't the best. Also the story uses my least fave trope:miscommunication . But the book is very sweet and has more depth to it than Games with the Orc the first book in this series!

This book didn’t pick up for me until 50% in, and then it was full speed ahead! The last half was so much better, and made me like this couples story more than the last. I loved seeing Hannah work through her struggles and seeing the relationships grow.
