Very fun and very YA.

I liked that this tied into the historical, witch Fear Street Saga books, but it needed a more zingy ending.

This was a stupid amount of fun to read. When you try to put all the pieces together in the end, logic isn't necessarily solid, but who cares? The point of reading RL Stine is the creeps, the chills, the twists, and thinking about how someone comes up with such wild stuff.

Fun fact: this is actually the second reboot of the "Fear Street" series in recent years.

I've come to learn that, even though I absolutely loved the Fear Street books back when I was younger, R.L. Stine is just not that great of a writer. Since my middle school/high school hey days I've tried reading a book that Stine proclaimed was for adults and the Fear Street reboot that he started a few years back and they just weren't written very well. Even when writing for adults and teens he just dumbs it down too much. The writing is stilted and repetitive and just downright boring.

But this book was a very easy read and more fun to read than that reboot he had going on a couple years back. At least there was an element of surprise/creepiness in regards to this book while that other reboot was just full on cheese.

So I really enjoyed this book.
It reminded me of my childhood and fits just perfectly into fall time.
It is funny that they suddenly have Facebook and everything.
It was an easy read but also really got me especially in the end.
I think and hope some things will maybe be explained in the following books.
I really want to read some of the old fear street books now but I think i also want to read the text one from this series.

You May Now Kill the Bride was full of twists and turns, but it lacked something.

It would have been interesting to see more of that Fear and Goode family rivalry, especially in the current timeline; it was supposed to be the Fear and Goode curse, but the Goode family played no part in the current timeline, which seemed odd.

Nonetheless, it involved curses and magic, and you can't go wrong with that.
