Excellent, as Ive come to expect from Lyra. This series sucks me in SO GOOD and I need the rest of it, like yesterday. Asher and Billie hate each other in the BEST way, until they realize its much easier to give in and just love each other. These two on the same team is absolute gold. I wouldve loved a little bit more resolution from Josh, but maybe later in the series. Top notch spice, as always!! 10 out of 10!

Oh my my…. Asher. Banks. what an A-HOLE. He's my very favorite Ash-hole though. I knew this was going to be an enemies to lovers going in, but I was not prepared for the level of enemies he and Billie were… WOW. thirteen years of rivalry and hatred - while being friends with Billie's brothers at the same time, and then teaming up with her ex?? this journey of theirs had me going through a gauntlet of emotions - from concern to humor, intrigue to tears, and ooooooh, once the spice hit… HEAT. I love the interactions with characters we've met previously, and the twists and mystery kept me guessing (seriously though - WHO IS WRITING THE BLINDS??) but the emotions, the journey, the way Billie and Asher FINALLY break down the walls and surrender to their true feelings… the vulnerability they both share… *melting into a puddle* I love them SO MUCH. I'm not sure if I can love Brody and Harper as much as Asher and Billie - but I certainly look forward to seeing if they can twist up my heartstrings as much as they are now. LOVE this series. Highly recommend if you want humor, suspense, emotion and spice in your romance.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that Asher and Billie will be living rent free in my head for quite some time. I absolutely loved this book. From the characters to the plot to the spice it was just magic. I loved the little suspense plot as well, and how it helped set up the next book (which yes we are FINALLY getting into Mr. Strong and Silent a.k.a Brody) as well as the love prophecy queen herself Harper.
Billie is one of my favorite FMCs ever. She has so much depth to her. Her persona of being an Ice Queen to counter how she grew up with Easton and Weston as big protective brothers. But she is also so soft on the inside. Almost like a Sour Patch Kid (and there is no debating that red is the best one!). She is such a good friend to Harper, and a fantastic sister and sister-in-law as well. Her business means so much to her and she wants to succeed on her own accord so badly. She has so much pride, and she should. I just loved her so much.
Asher also has a harder exterior while being completely soft for Billie. Yes they are rivals, and yes there is a good amount of hate involved but when that lovers part hit it was so much fun. I loved their backstory too, and without giving too much away Asher taking Billie back to a special place to them for a proposal (hope this isn’t too much of spoiler but did you really think a Lyra book wasn’t going to end in a HEA?) it was chef’s kiss perfection.
I truly adored this book, as I have all the others in the series and I fell like they are just going to get better and better. Also people prepare to be sick of me talking about and recommending this book…because it’s going to be a lot. As always the spice was perfect, both the quantity and the quality.
Thank you so much to Lyra for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

this was such a good book! I think it is my favorite in this series. I don't think you need to read the other 2 books as i think that it could be read as a standalone.
Billie Calloway 💗
it definitely felt like Billie was tired of being in the spotlight and wanted, for once to feel normal and be treated like a person.
she has brothers, Easton and Weston. she's nicknamed the Ice Queen due to the fact that she grew up with her brothers. she's had to grow a hard exterior. she's definitely a soft person. she also has an amazing person there for her, Harper. she is always there for her and is an amazing sister-in-law.
Asher Banks (Banks) 🤵♂
he also has a harder exterior while being protective of Billie (and soft around her). they butt heads but always seem to find their way back to each other.
the banter was absolutely amazing and fun. their confrontations were so fun to read and had me giggling at some points.
you should definitely read this!!

The Boss Situation was everything I thought it was going to be and more! Asher & Billie were strong on the enemies and hate to love you vibes with the top tier banter you know and love from Lyra. The tension was so thick between them I knew they were going to combust when they finally gave in.
I can’t get over how much I love these “situations” Lyra Parish is putting us in and I can’t wait for more. I didn’t think anyone could top my love for the Calloway brothers, but Asher Banks was up for the challenge and definitely gave them a run for their money.
A long standing rivalry turned HEA was the last thing either of them expected, but Asher & Billie were end game, and I enjoyed their journey from start to finish.

🌟 Thanks to @lyraparish for sending me an ARC to review
The third installment in the Billionaire Situation, focuses on Billie Calloway and Asher Banks. Billie's fashion business is struggling but the situation becomes worse now that her mortal enemy, Asher, is teaming up with her ex-boyfriend. Asher's marketing firm is infamous for destroying businesses so she must be at the top of her game not to become another statistic. Since Asher is friends with her twin brothers, he offers her an opportunity to work with him - the catch? She must get on her knees and beg him, which will never happen. Billie must find a way to turn her business around or find a husband to claim her inheritance.
After reading about Weston and Easton, I was worried Asher would not be able to live up to those two. However, Lyra has done it again! I absolutely devoured this book. The banter and tension between Billie and Asher was top tier - Asher was so frustrating but hilarious and dreamy. The nicknames and spice were also spot on. These are two strong characters who exhibit such vulnerability with each other in private. I loved getting to see the twins' relationship with their little sister in more detail. The drama sprinkled in was just right and that ending totally has me jonesing for the next book.

"The Boss Situation" by Lyra Parish is the 3rd book in the "Billionaire Situation" series.
Even if the book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first 2 books before.
Thank you Lyra for the e-ARC.
Opinions from this review are completely my own.
I was looking forward to Billie and Asher's story for a while as they were in the other books too.
Billie is Easton and Weston's sister and has a fashion company with her best friend Harper.
Asher has a marketing company and is considered the best. He is also friend with Easton and Weston.
Billie and Asher cannot stand each other since college and she will not ask for his help to save her company (even if she needs it).
What you can expect:
- hate to love with a lot of tension
- billionaire romance
- he fall first and hard
- secret relationship
- she's the boss
- slow burn
- spice
- witty banter
- suspense
- plot twists
The Friend Situation was my favorite book so far, but this one is even better.
I knew that Billie and Asher hate each other and they both have strong personalities.
She is very strong and independent, has a lot of determination and doesn't want any help from her brothers or Asher.
He seems to be ruthless, but has a mask in place to protect himself.
I love that this is dual POV and we get to know how he actually feels about her.
They have such explosive chemistry and all their interactions were intense.
It was so nice to find out how they met and see how different they are when they get along.
There is also a suspense side in the story, with corporate fashion wars and some twists that I did not expect.
Also, there are some emotional parts and a few things that can be triggering (mentioned: death of a sibling, car accident, grief, infidelity; on page: unwanted following, unwanted touching, violence).
The end also is bit of a cliffhanger and sets up the plot for the next book (Harper and Brody's story).
Even if the book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first 2 books before.
