This book really pulled me in and threw me into Nadia and Nathan’s world. It was everything I expected from this book, yet so shocking at the same time. It made me so emotional and I felt like I was feeling everything the characters were feeling right along with them. Beautiful story telling by Jasinda Wilder, it’s a page turner for sure!!! You are NOT going to want to put this one down!

This book made me cry. A lot. The first 50% of the book was easily 5-stars for me. The second half made it so that I wouldn't recommend. The 3-star rating is solely for how good the first half was.

The first half of the book is dedicated to her relationship with her husband who ends up dying. The second half is her moving on with this new guy. And I didn't like the second relationship as much / didn't really enjoy the second half of the book.

3.5 ⭐️
I was lovinggggg this book up until half way through part 3
It just didn’t sit right with me the way the story went.
I loved the writing style and the way everything was explained in such depth that I could picture every scene in my head. I loved the direction the story was headed until it got there. And then it just fell flat for me. Wasn’t interested in where it was headed. Didn’t feel connected to the new love interest what so ever.

*spoiler-ish???*
I also found the spice in this book to be so damn unnecessary. I love a good spicey scene but a 17 PAGE SCENE IN PART THREE WAS SO UNNECESSARY!!!! This book explored really deep themes and was heartbreaking to read and the spice in it just felt so out of place. Idk.

It still was a great read and I did really enjoy most aspects, just not what I was expecting this book to be.
I did love the way this author explored the ugly side of grief and our main character moving on but THE WAY she moved on did not sit right with me. Idk. It felt forced by Adrian to find someone for her to love rather than her doing it on her own.

Whoa. This book was such an emotional read! And I loved it!

Nadia and Adrian had been college sweethearts, married for many years. After the death of her father when she was a teenager, she decided to become a nurse. Her passion made it difficult for Adrian to tell her what was going on with him.

A year after his death, she is struggling. Significantly. Adrian knew this would be the case, and made sure to work his magic and help her move on, sending her to a cabin to try to heal.

I absolutely loved the first half of this book. I felt every emotion to my bones. I devoured it! I must say, the second half of the book dragged a bit, but I figure that the healing process drags, too. I loved the way that she bonded with Nathan, and together, they were able to heal.

I am a huge fan of emotional reads, and The Cabin completely hit that mark!

Absolutely phenomenal

Wow!
Alllllll the emotions and feels comes with this one. I don’t how many times I ugly cried or read while tears streamed down my face. Fair warning, if you’re pregnant and you read this you will be an emotional mess and have to take breaks while reading it. This is my favorite book you’ve ever written. It’s different in the best possible way. Absolutely phenomenal!

I really liked the first half of the book. And I really did NOT like the second half of the book. I thought it was stale; lacking emotion, when I thought this book would destroy me. I didn’t feel much chemistry or a connection between Nadia and Nathan. Adrian, however, was everything and more.

Cringe moment: when Nathan randomly sang I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift. Not because I don’t like her as an artist…it was just a question mark moment.
